We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Senior associate Scientist/Scientist in our oncology research division. The successful candidate will join an interactive research group evaluating novel cancer therapeutic targets for solid tumor malignancies.
• Apply expertise in cancer cell signaling, tumor models and translational research to plan, design, execute and troubleshoot experiments required for the preclinical evaluation and validation of experimental therapeutic reagents.
• Apply different cell biology, molecular biology and biochemical tools to study biological mechanisms of drug action and evaluation of drug combination regimens.
• Search, evaluate and adopt the latest methodologies to advance projects.
The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. in life sciences and have 0-5 years of relevant post-doctoral experience, preferably in an industrial setting, supported by a track record of innovative research demonstrated by publication in peer-reviewed journals.
Experience required in a variety of standard biochemistry, cell and molecular biology, organoid/3D, primary cell culture and gene knock down/out technologies. Training and background in functional genomics, classical cell signalling and tumor microenvironment will be highly valuable.
The candidate needs to critically read and evaluate scientific literature, solve technical problems and be committed to generating data and results with the utmost rigor and integrity.
The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and record keeping skills; be an effective communicator for both written and oral presentations, and work efficiently both as an individual contributor and a team player.
