Operations Process Leader

Position overview

The OPL is responsible to manufacturing line and maintenance & calibration representing a team of 7 direct reports and around 15 indirect reports.


Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Manages available resources to achieve a reliable, efficient and productive operation
  • Manages maintenance and calibration program for the site
  • Assures both short and long term manufacturing goals are met
  • Fosters teamwork and supports total also good housekeeping and ergonomics company policies
  • Trains, develops and coaches direct reports
  • Assists the Department Manager in the preparation of the Annual Department Budget and responsible for its maintenance
  • Develops and implements new ideas focused on continuous process improvement, cost containment and efficiency
  • Acts as valuable resource in the development of world class manufacturing & asset management initiatives
  • Actively participates and/or leads projects, programs, training and other company initiatives

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering, or equivalent, required
  • Previous people leadership experience required
  • Strong written and oral communication in both English and French required
  • Certification(s) of Lean or/and 6 sigma Tools (Poka-Yoke, VSM, Standard Work,
  • 5S, etc.) preferred
  • Experience in a Current Good Manufacturing Process (cGMP) environment preferred
  • Must be able to build strong working partnerships, trust and credibility at all levels.
