DePuy Synthes, a $10 billion franchise within Johnson & Johnson, has an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Finance Analyst operating within the Global Supply Chain to gain extensive exposure across the entire organization.
This Senior Analyst position operates in a dynamic global environment supporting multiple Worldwide Business Unit Directors to achieve inventory targets and deliver inventory reductions and efficiencies.

Main duties & responsibilities:

Inventory reporting & Accounting
  • Support month end process for GSC Management Accounting to ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Monthly inventory reconciliations
  • Preparation of month-end P&L and B/S reconciliations and schedules, eg PPV, FAA, Write offs, SLOB
  • Calculation and analysis of GMED and DePuy Ireland quarterly E&O reserves
  • Accounting for Instruments 
  • Calculation of DSI for DePuy Ireland 
  • Liaising with WW Finance business partners on Inventory related matters
  • Drive improvements and lean culture. Challenge established norms and processes to deliver tangible benefits in scope of control, predictability, efficiency and effectiveness 
  • Take ownership to ensure accounting and reporting procedures and practices are fully compliant with SOX and internal control guidelines 
  • Become a valued member of the Depuy Synthes Ireland Finance team, taking on additional tasks and responsibilities as required. 
Business Partnering
  • Primary Business Partner with GMED ensuring full understanding of key drivers of their financials and working with them to ensure business commitments are met and often exceeded
  • Build relationships with global Plan Senior Leadership & functional heads, and support them to drive sustainable inventory reductions
  • Create value for the Global Ortho Plan function by developing strategies with business partners to improve efficiencies and deliver business plan targets, with a particular focus on the Joints business
  • Drive financial accountability, ensuring that the financial implications of operational decisions are considered
 
Business Plan and Forecasts
  • Accurate, timely, and complete financial forecasts, reports, submissions & analytics for WW Joints Inventory (Gross, Net) and associated reserves
  • Ensure alignment & transparency between P&L and Balance Sheet assumptions relating to inventory items

Qualifications

Qualifications & experience

Essential:
  • Bachelor’s degree, equivalent qualification or equivalent experience
  • Qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA accountant
Desirable:
  • 3+ years of meaningful multinational or equivalent experience
  • Supply chain finance experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven track record in multi-cultural business partnering
