Global Clinical Operations (GCO) Poland is the part of Janssen organization specialized in conducting clinical trials to evaluate the efficacy and safety of new therapeutic solutions.
GCO Poland is looking for candidates on the position of:
Start-up Manager
Location: Warsaw, Poland
Start-up Manager is accountable for setting and executing standards and best practices in study start-up across all clinical trials conducted in Poland to ensure overall operational effectiveness and competitive edge.
Main Activities:
  • Setting state of the art study start-up standards and best practices
  • Supporting local study teams in planning and execution of start-up activities to ensure sites are activated within the shortest possible time
  • Supporting local study teams in preparation for site initiation visit
  • Monitoring start-up progress across all clinical trials and driving corrective actions, if anything goes off track
  • Providing Leadership team with study start-up progress status across all clinical trials
  • Driving implementation of investigator and patient engagement (I&PE) solutions
  • Shaping an efficient collaboration with C&Gs contracting team
  • Mentoring Local Trial Managers and/or Site Managers on study start-up

  • At least 4 years of experience in monitoring of clinical trials or at least 1-year experience in project management/start-up coordination acquired in pharma company or CRO
  • In-depth understanding and hands-on experience in study start-up activities
  • Sound knowledge of local regulatory requirements, site contracting process and principles of site activation
  • Analytical thinking and attention to details
  • Ability to make decisions under time pressure and prioritize accordingly
  • Ability to identify risks and implement corrective/preventive actions
  • Ability to negotiate over conflicting issues and develop win-win outcomes
  • Excellent communication, networking, coordination and influencing skills
  • Proficiency in excel and power point
  • Proficiency in speaking and writing English and Polish
