Title:     Senior Manager, Capacity, Governance, Portfolio management

Department:       Portfolio and Planning Department, R&D Management Division

 
POSITION SUMMARY

・Manage Japan R&D governance rules, harmonize governance & stakeholders and run analysis report about R&D’s approved items.

・Manage reporting and run analysis about R&D’s project capacity (FTEs).

・Support Janssen R&D portfolio management and portfolio system operations which includes reporting/analysis work. Also collaborate with Janssen R&D project managers and R&D/commercial stakeholders

 
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

R&D governance management

・Maintain Project governance body charters and run the continuous improvement of governance body-related rules such as approval items, governance scope, and its related-processes

・Coordinate the project governance bodies/meetings in R&D as a decision support representative, i.e. JSRB, JSRB-PAM and JDMC, so that clear decision-making for projects are able to be made in timely manner

・Record decisions and decision history of R&D project planning governance body suc as JSRB and JDMC

・Work collaboration with V6 reporting reps in PPD and R&D Communication & Innovation group

R&D capacity management

・Develop the FTE capacity analysis
・Build and maintain capacity report or system interface

・Proactively identify key areas for improvement and develop innovative solutions to increase the effectiveness of R&D and PMO staff

・Represent Japan capacity management in global discussion
・Train Japan organization on the use of the system

・Create ad hoc analysis and reports and runs/modifies analysis/reports as needed

R&D portfolio process management

・Support to develop R&D project portfolio processes (including the prioritization building)

・Interact with R&D project managers to promote a good harmonized decisions of portfolio management and project management

・Maintain and keep continuous improvement of portfolio system

・Prepare and deliver portfolio-related reports and analysis

・Join the portfolio review meetings collaborate with various R&D and Commercial (including Business Development, Finance, and Pricing) leaders



資格

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

<REQUIRED>

・A bachelor degree; life sciences or business management specialization is preferred

・Ability to partner with people at all levels of the organization

・Ability to respond flexibly to changing project priorities and work assignments.

・Ability to influence and negotiate without specific authority.

・Interpersonal skills and Change Agent 

・Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, act as a change agent, and adapt to rapidly changing organizational and business issues

・Strong analytical skills with high IT literacy in Excel, Power Points, other database

・Experience to ensure the business complies with all legal legislations through compliance with the highest standards of pharmaceutical industry propriety

・Experience to assure business compliance and control within the Health Care Compliance obligations, Sarbanes Oxley and other audit requirements

・Strong English communication skills

・Professional business management certification and/or diploma
