For our Site in Bettlach we are looking for an experienced
Senior Project Leader EST
  • The Senior Project Leader will lead business critical and / or global projects. Will work with a cross functional team to identify delivery tasks / milestones for each of the workstreams and track through implementation
    Will assist with project documentation preparation/ control and assist as required to co-ordinate the project through the planning and implementation phases of the project.
    Will act as multiplicator of knowledge for upcoming projects and supports the local project team
  • Works with the Program manager to co-ordinate all project activities for the implementation of finish modules
  • Identifies the major project tasks/ milestones, timelines and owners to support the project deployment date in collaboration with all workstream leads
  • Develops / maintains full-scale project plans and associated communication documents
  • Effectively communicates project expectations to team members in a timely and clear fashion
  • Monitors progress of all major tasks/ milestones through to completion with all project team members and other assigned owners to maintain accurate visibility of project status
  • Reports/ escalates any slippage that impacts the planned deployment dates
  • Identifies the critical path and works with team to maintain completion dates
  • Works with Program manager & Workstream Leads on establishing test plans, resourcing plans and progress reporting
  • Stands in for Program manager when required
  • Managing / coordination of documentation for change control, risks / mitigation plans and contingency plans
  • Develops a strong understanding of all current E2E process flows
  • Develops solutions regarding pre- and post steps in the process flow between mechanical production and packaging
  • Adheres to the DePuy Synthes project management methodology
  • All employees are responsible for minimizing both the Environmental and Health & Safety effects of the work that they perform
  • Some travel may be required with this role

  • Degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Engineering or a related discipline
  • Project Management or Project Administration experience > 3 years in an Operations, Engineering or Development environment
  • Basic to advanced experience in lean management and / or six-sigma greenbelt certification
  • Experience in an international environment and in matrixed roles within a Surface Technology field
  • Good German and English skills both in speaking and writing
  • Basic French skills in speaking
  • Flexible work ethic
  • Strong influencing skills - good communication skills (written and oral)
  • Problem solving skills – To maintain project progress
  • Decision Making – Required to make decisions on technical and management issues
  • Degree of responsibility – Must be capable of managing a project team

  • Experience of working in global matrix organisations
  • Other language skills in Chinese and Italian
