This is a rare opportunity to join Janssen and the Johnson & Johnson (J&J) family of companies and be part of the Janssen Global Clinical Operations (GCO) Leadership team.

 

GCO manages clinical trials in phases I-III for Janssen Research and Development. Our growing team of over 50 conducts clinical trials across Australia with a focus in 5 disease area strongholds: Immunology, Oncology, Neuroscience, Infectious Diseases & Vaccines and Cardiovascular & Metabolism.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing line and functional management to Site Managers (SMs) to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of SMs in all aspects of site management and monitoring in clinical trials, to enhance the collective performance of GCO ANZ. This role will drive operational excellence and continuous improvement in SM processes, supporting and training SMs to use best practice in conjunction with key competencies to achieve their objectives, including quality and productivity metrics.

 

You will exhibit strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate and promote teamwork. You will need to understand individual and team development needs and how these may be addressed. As both an exceptional people leader and team player, you will work in close collaboration with your peers as part of the GCO Leadership Team to define and execute long term strategies that enable the team to deliver strong business results and high-quality output, keeping focus on driving the GCO team’s competitive value to stakeholders. You will also demonstrate and cultivate intellectual curiosity, and the ability to lead a team through both significant and incremental change on an ongoing basis to facilitate team performance.

 

You will have knowledge of the overall drug development process and experience in all stages of Clinical Trial management. A relevant tertiary qualification in the science/medical arena is essential. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is required, with exceptional knowledge of GCP.
