The Field Project Specialist  is responsible for developing, creating or implementing  projects on the field.These projects  are aligned with the strategy of the concerned TA’s but at the same time meet the needs of our customers. Most of these projects  have a clear impact on the quality of care provided to the patients, are related to the  definition and optimization of the patient pathway, but at the same time improve the quality of the integrated care related to our therapies and finally reinforce our commitment and partnership with the  concerned accounts. This new channel on the field differentiates our approach and also  increase our competitivity  in the market.

The Field Project Specialist is responsible for initiating new ideas and clarifying or giving shape to    needs or wishes existing on the field . For that, the Field Project Manager has to invest 60% of his time externally on the field  by the customers (mainly Specialists and nurses) in order to  keep the focus on the customer needs, to get insights about the  account dynamic and  external network , to co-create  with the external stakeholders and to ensure an additional presence of Janssen showing our commitment and partnership ambition.  

The Field Project Specialist, next to managing the external network into the hospitals, has to work  in close  collaboration with the Product Specialists, the Medical Scientific Liaison, the Strategic Account Manager and the Internal Project Specialists  and eventually other members of CVT . An integrated and aligned approach behind the same goal and regular communication are crucial.

Place in the organization   
The Field Project Specialist reports to the Customer Value Manager who is owner of Integrated   Account Plan and responsible for orchestrating the optimal customer approach using all available channels .

Tasks and responsibilities

External focus ( 60%) 
o Develops a network of customer relationships, oriented on projects and partnership development, fully aligned with our ambition and strategy at account level 
o Realizes the needed contacts on the field  with HCP’s ( Spec, Nurses,…..) in order  to understand the  external networks, capture the customer needs, evaluate the opportunities and implement the projects.
o Has to become the first contact point for the customers for questions or items not directly related to the product but to  co-creation,  patients outcomes  and care improvement .
o During these interactions on the field ,is able to position the projects or potential projects as  part of our  global value proposition to the patients and prescribers.
o Depending on the discussion with the HCP’s, he can reinforce our key messages on the field to optimally position our product versus the competition.
o Depending on needs, has to organize at account level staff meetings or  project advisory boards  to  get a lot of information and align the external stakeholders


Project Management (20%)
o Perform project management tasks including project timeline estimation, expected outcomes, success rate and resource requirement .. 
o Is responsible for the implementation of customer-specific, innovative and value-added initiatives to deliver customer needs and to ensure competitive advantages.
o Is also responsible for definition of the KPI’s needed to evaluate the impact and added value of these projects 
o Plan and schedule team meetings to discuss project progress and issues . 
o Has to become the first contact point for external consultant or  services providers for questions or items related to the initiated  projects at account level  

Internal collaboration (20%) 
o Role model for collaboration in matrix-organization and shows “one-team approach”-attitude.
o Participate in  external Account Plan Meetings to keep aligned the customers needs and the account qualitative and quantitative objectives
o Understands the local networks in the organization and acts on it to get things done.
o Has to become the first contact point for the internal stakeholders ( SAM, PS, MSL or PMO) for questions or items related to  the project development and deployment and patient pathway.
o Keep the connection with  other TA’s  or other  internal  stakeholders to ensure the needed  cross-fertilization  between all the existing projects


Kwalificaties
Profile / qualifications

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in business or life sciences;
Minimum of 3 years successful experience in Pharmaceutical sales;
Initiative driven, creative and commercial  mindset 
Enthusiastic, solution-oriented  and result-driven. 
Works structurally and manage complexity 
Shows strong entrepreneurship and leadership with clear focus on final objective . 
Demonstrated  Project Management  and implementation skills 
Demonstrated ability to create and manage contacts, to maintain relationship and to work closely with internal  and external stakeholders 
Understands the health care system, local networks, account and customer dynamics and decision processes in the hospitals
Demonstrated ability to work closely with external stakeholders is required, previous experience is preferred;
Adaptability, self-organizing but also team oriented 
Excellent communicative skills;
Fluent in English next to his mother language (Dutch ,French)
