Be Vital to this role:
We are passionate about providing comprehensive Eye Health solutions to our customers and this role will provide the incumbent with an opportunity to impart their knowledge and train other Eye Care Professionals. Reporting to the Professional Education & Development Director, you will have the opportunity to work across our full suite of products within the Vision Care range and to bring the ACUVUE® brands, Contact Lens Solutions, eye drops and other vision care equipment to life with Eye Care Professionals. As part of your role, you will have two direct reports. This is a full-time, permanent role, based at our Ultimo offices.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Lead, develop and execute professional education & development strategies in line with company business objectives.
  • Partner with internal and external key stakeholders to drive J&J Vision Eye Health agenda in partnership with Government Institutions, Professional Associations, Optometry Academies and Eye Care Professionals. 
  • Ensure strong professional bench strength and build future capabilities to support business ambition. 
  • Ensure the success of new product launches by supporting new product development programs, processes, clinical claims and Eye Care Professional adoption programs. 
  • Lead a team of two direct reports.

Qualifications

This role involves extensive liaison with leaders and key stakeholders with the skills and experience included below: 
  • Qualified in or good understanding of Optometry, Ophthalmology or clinical practice experience. 
  • Advanced technical or clinical knowledge. 
  • Extensive experience and clinical expertise in Patient Eye Health journey. 
  • Solid commercial acumen and has provided technical/clinical training to professionals. 
  • Experience working in a global organization and collaborating with regional groups.
  • Demonstrated track record of people development and leadership.
