This is an opportunity in Finance to add systems and IT architecture knowledge into a finance portfolio of knowledge and experience. The role has many stakeholders across functions and processes and is an integral support of data flow management through to TM1. As well as daily contact with GS, the successful candidate will understand the finance processes in GS/BSCOE and will successfully reinforce IT processes, supporting end user self-serve via the BW Enhanced User Programme and identifying future proof solutions to support the integrity of the system and data.


Key Responsibilities:


o Ensure that Data Integrity reports correctly frame the workload activity performed by the team and present a fair synopsis
 Resolving issues at draft review stage
 Work with Corporate to correct/rephrasing dialogue within reports
 Ensure all issues are logged and represented correctly
 Lead conversations around reconciliations of cubes and systems
 Active lead in bi-weekly calls
 Analyse data/root cause, make recommendation (raise ticket if req’d)
o Adopt the Appian tool and be responsible for its success in EMEA
 All work intake is covered and framed accurately
o Be a BW Super User – maintain the BW End User Programme, supporting and training BW Enhanced Users (bringing expertise into the business making them self-reliant and BW self-serve)
o Strive for maximised budget allocation and set expectations, building business case to demonstrate benefits for escalation
o Support StF implementations from a BW perspective whilst understanding role of IT and ensure that the IT team can deliver
o Liaise with finance to understand process requirement and work with BUIT to ensure that optimal solution within BW is viable and delivery will be timely
 Guiding business with requirements and support the technical team with ideas for reporting solutions
 Guide business requirements towards a quick fix, via Enhanced User, where possible
 Seek cost analysis and feasibility assessment for all URS’s expediting progress from idea to deployment
 Drive documentation of existing and new reports
o Active participant in Project Team as required when new technology is proposed (ie. S4HANA, TM1 BRAVO)
o Ad hoc as per manager
o Evolve requirements above as business evolves and present ideas for improvement in team processes



Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:


o A good working knowledge of SAP in FI and CO module ideally with Super User skills
o A recognised accounting qualification and/or solid understanding of finance processes
o Good understanding and working knowledge of SAP reporting tools like BW, Bex.
o Knowledge and understanding of the financial business processes and SOX compliance
o Ability to lead and influence change.
o Strong and effective communication & interpersonal skills. Calming presence and patience
o Ability to connect across cultures and communicate effectively with technical teams, users and management
o Continuous process improvement orientation with a curious mindset
o Adaptable to change with a love of learning
o Ability to plan and manage projects
o Ability to document processes
o With the current remit the candidate can expect little or no travel
