Executive summary of the role

The position of the Value Creation Specialist drives the core of our transition from product selling to value selling. It is a position of high visibility and influence that needs to connect with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.


Main areas of responsibility / expected results / objectives of the role

  • Make sure Value Creation is internally and externally visible
  • Derive concrete customer needs that define the areas where JnJ can deliver valuable solutions to the customers
  • Translate deep customer insights of our clinical and non-clinical customers into (tailormade) solutions 
  • Set clear priorities and focus on the solutions providing the best cost/benefit balance
  • Identify the solutions that give a competitive advantage
  • Steer the development from ideation to prototyping whereby cooperating with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure the excellent implementation in the market
  • Being able to lead and implement specific client projects (a.o. process improvement, logistics, patient pathways, positioning & marcom, recruitment & retention)

  • Master or equivalent in business experience
  • Experience in implementing value creation programs
  • Project Management, Change Management and Process Excellence skills
  • Proven ability to manage complexity & uncertain/ambiguous circumstances
  • Ability to connect and effectively collaborate across a diverse group of business stakeholders in a highly matrixed environment
  • Strong passion and track record for innovation & will to make things happen & deliver
  • Strong communication skills & influencing skills
  • Fluent Dutch
  • Good written and oral language skills in English for EMEA collaboration
  • Strongly involved in strategic and tactical work on a daily basis requiring being able to quickly zoom in and out
  • Ability to build respect and trust with customers, employees and internal stakeholders
  • Self-awareness and adaptability
  • Ability to lead in change
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the Marketing and/or Marcom field (positioning, digital, marcom strategy etc.) 
  • LEAN green or black belt: capable of executing LEAN value stream mapping activities (patient pathways, logistics etc.) 
  • Knowledge of the current market healthcare landscape or environment where value selling is the key driver
  • Experience working for a mid-size or multinational company
