Achieving or overachieving sales targets, KPIs as defined and driving profitable growth in a relevant business though systematic and strategic development of (Key) accounts, new customers and premium business. 
The Key account manager Cataract has to build up and cultivate a good relationship to (key) accounts / cataract chains and the key opinion leaders in the respected area. Trains customers on new JJSV products. 

Task and Responsibilities

Drive JJSV sales and share performance through realizing opportunities within the local healthcare environment
Develop strategy and concise engagement plans with clear objectives and activities to optimise funding & access of JJSV products 
Play an active and coordinating part within infield team and identify opportunities to work collaboratively with cross-functional colleagues to deliver on brand objectives 

Meet or exceed financial goals for dedicated territory  

Responsible for the development and achievement of all short and long-term targets (e.g. sales and profitability targets) for all (Key) Accounts in the relevant market
Launch and achieve targets at the Key Accounts for new products as laid out in the JJSV Strategic Plan 
Cooperate with Sales Manager REF/LCS/Lipis to close cross-merchandizing deals 
Proactively manage and cultivate a good relationship to internal (e.g. marketing, finance, regulatory affairs, sales support) and external (key accounts) stakeholders to achieve long term growth and profitability.

Develop Key Accounts in the rayon

Identify and shape multi-stakeholder projects that are of interest to JJSV & KOLs and that position JJSV as a trusted and expert company
Act and influence on strategic and board level (e.g. Financial Directors, Heads of, top-level ophthalmologists, key doctors, etc.)
Draw business cases at targeted key accounts (reflecting a significant part of the market) 
Partner-up with key customers to consult, advise and influence in business development 
Build strategic concepts for business development in cooperation with Country Manager BENELUX, Manager Sales Belgium, Refractive / LCS BENELUX and Territory Manager´s
Organize congresses for (potential) customers and participate in all major national and regional congresses
Verifies newly developed strategies and business development with key account leaders
Regularly track the implementation, execution and impact of activities and performance of key accounts 


Generate and provide substantial fact-based input for budget planning within the region and advise 
Develop pre-defined key opinion leaders and centres of reference in the Netherlands
Market Intelligence Reporting


Bachelor degree, Master degree preferred
Education in Ophthalmology and on-the-job business exposure
Minimum 7 year  Ophthalmic sales experience
Established know-how in ophthalmic business
Expert on local reimbursement regulations and inherent business potentials
Proven marketing understanding to execute plans
Ability to translate the strategies into actionable and realistic engagement plans to ensure market access of JJSV products, in alignment with brand strategies
Successful track in Sales (Territory Management)
Excellent Selling skills
Excellent stakeholder management skills
Effective in Sales analysis and corresponding strategic sales approaches.
Strong Coaching and effective communication skills
