Reporting to the Senior Manager for Analytics within the DePuy Synthes PLAN Excellence Group, the successful candidate will lead and manage the integration of analytics tools and capability into the End to End Supply Chain Transformation program for the DePuy Synthes businesses. 

With a particular focus on leveraging on-going investment in Enterprise Data Warehousing (Cloudera/Teradata) and Visualisation (Tableau), to build a robust KPI reporting structure, the candidate will pioneer analytics tools and capability at a global and market level to drive measurable and sustainable change in the Supply Chain, balancing the Strategic Goals of Asset Efficiency, Operational Efficiency and being the Partner of Choice for our customers - Never Miss a Case.


This role will require collaboration across the end-to-end supply chain in a matrix structured organization. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in such an environment with a track record of leadership and influencing skills. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong leadership competencies and possess the capability to progress through the DePuySynthes organization into roles of increasing responsibility in the future.





Program and Transformation Leadership

§  Connect & influence commercial, supply chain & analytical stakeholders to drive the integration of data analytics into the End to End Supply Chain Processes.

    • Provide leadership and governance on the development and operation of the Fidelity (Enterprise Data Warehouse) platform.
    • Serve as the main point of contact for Fidelity generated KPI’s within DePuy Synthes, maintaining an in-depth business relationship with the key stakeholders and acting as a gatekeeper for report creation.
    • Provide representation for the PLAN organisation on strategic projects in relation to Inventory, Service and Network Transformation.

§  Collaborate with operational resources in the regions/markets to drive pilot activities and design future state processes.

§  Leverage the analytical tools and capabilities available to effect change in the markets.

§  Lead creation/design of process playbooks & metrics systems, identification of skillsets and design of personnel development plans required to achieve measurable and sustainable change.

§  Build a global coalition within the DePuySynthes franchise around the topic of Data Analytics. Identify opportunities for leveraging of skills and resources. Maintain linkage and alignment to J&J Enterprise and industry best practice.

§  Establish and grow relationships with appropriate academic, industrial and government bodies for the purposes of talent identification and development as well as leveraging research & collaboration opportunities.

§  Demonstrate excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal relation skills, to lead, influence and coach across multiple geographies and cultures.

Qualifications / Relevant Experience:



§  Master’s degree or equivalent in:


§  Business, BIS, Supply Chain, Operational Research or Computer Science / Programming, Engineering or related field.



§  PhD Degree in an associated field

§  Black Belt six-sigma certification

§  APICS Certification

§  De Bono, TRIZ or Ideation Training





§  3+ years of relevant supply chain experience in medical device or comparable industry.

§  Strong IT skill-set

§  Lateral thinking & Problem Solving

§  Demonstrated conceptual, analytical skills & logical thinking with statistical modelling / data analysis competency.



§  Operational experience in the oOthopaedics supply chain.

§  Working knowledge of financial processes.

§  Experienced ERP / Planning Systems User

§  As a project manager, demonstrated delivery of significant technical projects in a fast paced matrix environment.

§  Experience in leveraging Data Acquisition, Transformation and Visualisation tools. (e.g. Python, R, SQL, Tableau etc)

§  Experience in managing the activities of both onshore consultancy houses and offshore outsourcing companies.
