Role Purpose:

Within Commercial Excellence we provide elite commercial support to both internal stakeholders and external customers, this role delivers aspects of the Contracting functions from the end to end Price Setups (Pricing Cycle), to Price Query Management, Contract Due Diligence and ultimately issuing Customer Price Catalogues.
This role will focus on supporting the Price Catalogue Management and Rebate Processes within the Contracting Team and assist with Business Partnering our Sales and Commercial Teams with Customer Requirements

Key areas of responsibility:

Price Catalogue Management:
  • Be responsible for the Price Catalogue Management Process through:
  • Allocating team members to Key Accounts
  • Resolving the level of customer interaction is required based on customer requirements
  • Crafting and building efficient and effective price catalogue templates which can be used to meet all the requirements of our external and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure price catalogues are updated following any changes and are effectively communicated to our Key Customers
  • Track all contractual changes and update Department reports for Contract Management purposes
  • Craft a culture of Business Partnering so we support our internal stakeholders on contracting issues relating to Key Accounts
  • Support the Pricing function resolve price related invoice queries impacting Key Accounts
  • Maintain Customer engagement through face to face visits
  • Automate and streamline processes where possible
  • Be a business leader supporting the GS1/PEPPOL Project ensuring adoption within J&J UK is aligned and on track
  • Support our external Key Customers understand the requirements needs for GS1/PEPPOL. Maintain our status and as contributing Development Suppliers. Support the 6 Demonstrator Trust in this area.
  • Ensure all Nexus and eCatalogues are updated and maintained
  • Support and co-ordinate the implementation on any Annual Pricing Changes

Price and Contract Management:

  • Draft and issue customer Rebate Agreements ensuring they are aligned the NDS principles already approved
  • Monitor and calculate all Customer Rebates and Pricing Adjustments on a monthly basis ensuring financial provisions are communicated to relevant department heads from an Accrual perspective
  • Calculate and Process actual Rebate Payments in line with SOX requirements
  • Maintain up-to-date List Price information on full Product Portfolio
  • Maintain an archive of all Pricing Tables for NDS’s, Frameworks and material arrangements across all Medical Devices product ranges. Share and assist information with the Contracting Team as required
  • Maintain up-to-date List Price information on full Product Portfolio
  • Assist with resolving pricing queries to agreed timelines to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Assist with processing and communicating credits if required to resolve pricing queries
  • Ensure any required remedial action is completed following price queries
  • Lead the Expiring Discounts pricing process to ensure no expire in error (with wider Contracts Team)
  • Ensure all SOX compliance responsibilities are met on behalf of the Contracting Team

Stakeholder Relationships:

  • Positive relationships to be formed with Commercial, Sales and ComEx Teams
  • Liaise as required with other departments such as Regulatory, Legal and Finance
  • Be a part of the wider Commercial Excellence Department
  • Work with other Team functions within the Contracting Team
  • Maintain strong Customer relationships including any 3rd Party representatives
  • Maintain strong working relationships with the Price Data Team

Other Job Requirements:

  • Lead a team of 2-4 additional FTE’s
  • Occasional travel to other JNJ office locations including overnight stay is required
  • Travel to customers is also required (once a month)
  • Able to work flexibly as required to meet business needs. JNJ operates a Flexibility Working policy which will also be considered.


Qualifications

Skills and competencies required:

  • Deep understanding of commercial and pricing strategies
  • Competent in all aspects of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access etc) particularly Excel
  • High attention to detail and numeric
  • Excellent communication skills as daily communication with customers, directors, sales force etc
  • Ability to prioritise work daily.
  • Standout colleague

Education & Experience Required:

  • MCIPS Qualified or Equivalent
  • Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant business orientated subject
  • Experience working within a Pricing or Finance Role
  • Experience using JDE, Contracts Manager
  • Experience making and drafting Pricing Offers to customers
  • Good working knowledge of the Medical Devices Product Hierarchy
  • Experience of the full Medical Devices Product Range
  • Knowledge of EU Public Procurement Legislation is beneficial
