Senior Planning Analyst

As a part of the Global Supply Chain Planning Department, the Senior Planning Analyst will provide end to end support for the global planning processes by improving and monitoring ERP, planning and reporting systems.


The Senior Planning Analyst is a key global & cross-functional role in driving DePuy-Synthes Trauma/CMF PLAN performance to a higher level. It supports the design, improvement and monitoring of the supply chain IT-system landscape. The Senior Planning Analyst overall responsibilities are:
  • Lead and coordinate initiatives to improve ERP, planning and reporting systems capabilities from a business perspective
  • Drive cross-functional alignment and decision-making by identifying and compiling solution options
  • Participate in cross-functional teams and projects and act as the main planning point of contact for other team members
  • Create specifications, support IT developments, verify solution integrity, create user documentation, train user and lead change management process
  • Be the first point of contact for demand and supply planners regarding system functionalities, access rights and solution options
  • Monitor automatic system jobs and interfaces to ensure they are running as expected, take the necessary steps to solve system issues
  • Understand and interpret data, identify issues, analyze causes, and provide well-reasoned conclusions and solutions
  • Support and participate in the implementation of standard planning processes, especially maturing S&OP activities. Drive continuous improvements in Global Supply Chain processes
  • Support end to end analytics and demand / supply modeling



  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics or engineering
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a supply chain role. Demand planning, supply planning or S&OP preferred.
  • Experience with SAP, additional knowledge of another ERP system like JDE is a plus
  • Excellent analytical skills, ability to see the big picture while understanding the detail
  • Very good communication and presentation skills, ability to adapt to diverse audiences and define the relevant level of detail
  • Ability to build strong relationships, considering diverse perspectives and varying styles
  • Proactive, customer focus, collaborative & “can do” mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and work in a matrix environment where priorities change rapidly, and tight deadlines exist
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and evaluate processes to determine if refinements would enhance speed of results and productivity or quality.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint are required
  • Fluent in English, German is an asset 


  • Project management experience, certification a plus
  • Strong interest in global supply chains and the medical device industry
  • Strong interest in IT systems and tools and how to master them
