Commercial Administrator (12-month contract)
Pinewood Office, Wokingham, UK

Position Summary;

This role reports to the Commercial Support Manager and contributes to a sustainable support function.

 It is a new role that will ensure that we are prepared and meet the extra demands imposed on us by our market leadership status and our growing market share.

 The role will take on the administration of various increased reporting requirements for customers at hub and account level as well as the growing administrative duties around the reporting and business compliance for internal and external customers.

Major Duties and Responsibilities;

Approximate Percentage of Time


Account and product level reporting and validation of sales data to comply with contractual obligations


Under direction of the Commercial Support Manager contribute to Cross SBU (business units) Projects that may require proficient Database or Spreadsheet expertise


Development and maintenance of internal and external training records to support tenders and compliance with GDPR Regulations



Provide support to the Commercial Support Manager for product and spend forecasting, order and backorders tracking


Validating account data in terms of invoicing, rebates and KPI’s


Other Duties;

Support the Commercial Team in various projects and shared initiatives and goals against business KPI’s.

Attend and contribute to Commercial and Sales meetings

Required Qualifications;

Required Minimum Education:      Good standard of education with proven ability in A level results. A College Diploma or Degree Desirable                                       Other:


Required Years of Related Experience:  a good understanding of Corporate Business practices in a commercial environment and regulatory compliance.

Preferred Qualifications;

Preferred Minimum Education: A Level but higher desirable                                      Other: Business Studies

Preferred Area of Study:  Area of Business studies desirable

Preferred Related Industry Experience (if applicable):     

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

(Include any preferred computer skills, certifications, licenses, languages, etc.)

Knowledge of SAP reporting tools (Business Intelligence)

Microsoft Office packages to an advanced level 

  • 2 - 3 years of experience in a professional setting, including positions handling confidential information
  • Proficiency with MS productivity software applications and development of dashboards in Excel and Access
  • Strong excel skills - pivot tables and excel formula for plotting data and graphs
  • Working knowledge of managing business projects
  • Strong understanding of database structures and report/dashboard generation
  • Preferable knowledge of SAP and Business Intelligence or demonstrable aptitude for software reporting systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude and an ability to focus on setting and achieving milestones
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills

Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor, confidentiality, and to effectively complete multiple tasks/projects with competing priority levels and deadlines.


Key working relationships;

All levels of internal, Senior Management, Commercial Team, Sales Team and Engineers. Across business units including Accounts, Database Management, Customer Services, Commercial Excellence, Planning Department and networking within other Business Divisions in J&J.


Wholesaler’s , Suppliers, Customers and Procurement. Regulatory and Advisory bodies
