  • Assuring safety of ingredients, raw materials and products to support product development in APAC with special focus to China launches for Consumer Baby , Beauty and oral care products
  • Safety assessment of OTC and Engineered products equivalent to Class I medical devices 
  • Address safety related issues as per regulatory requirements across regions and managing safety related compliance issues. The candidate should be well acquainted with the CFDA regulations/ requirements for ingredient safety and should have past experience of interactions with Chinese health authorities and successful negotiations.
  • Support to compliance queries and issues in ASEAN and APAC region. The candidate should be familiar with the APAC and ASEAN requirements
  • Supporting innovation through animal alternative models and collaboration with industry experts, CFDA and industry associations
  • Collaborate with Product Development, Packaging, Regulatory and safety teams to drive innovation from safety perspective
  • Manage the workload of the regional Toxicology team by monitoring the requests, the responses to the requests and their internal distribution 
  • Represent J&J in international associations, and assisting in harmonizing safety evaluation processes for J&J Consumer products at APAC regional level

Qualifications
  • 10 -12 years (with Ph.D.) or15 years ( with Masters) in the filed of safety assessment of Consumer and personal acre products
  • Successful track record of interactions with CFDA and Chinese experts /consultants on ingredient safety with respect to ingredients used in consumer Baby and Beauty products
  • Knowledge about use of animal alternatives
  • People management and good communication skills
