As the Senior Manager, Biosurgery Sourcing, you will be responsible for ~10 Biosurgery suppliers located principally in EMEA in support of approximately $80 to $100MM in spend for Johnson & Johnson Companies.  This spend is medium to high complexity in nature and requires a collaboration with key stakeholders within the business to execute.  You will identify, develop and direct the implementation of Procurement goals and strategy.  You will plan and direct the organization’s activities and deliver against targets for financial performance, quality, and service and compliance adherence.  You will be responsible for influential leadership of a cross-functional team of supply chain associates.  


In this role, you will provide Global and Regional Leadership for coordinating end-to-end category strategy, maintaining key relationships within the business and managing supplier relationships. The position must shape, connect and lead resources to deliver on key projects.


Responsibilities

  • Own relationship with suppliers; Monitor performance, develop and lead regular performance reviews (CS&OP, CIP execution, QBR, Planning, Quality reviews, etc), oversee product tech transfers including decommissioning of sites, engage suppliers in lean process improvements and manage operations as the virtual plant manager of the supplier sites.
  • Identify emerging needs within Biosurgery and develop the vision, strategy and implementation plan that will effectively meet the long range requirements of the business partners and deliver the maximum value for J&J
  • Develop Op Plans (incl budgets, volume planning, etc) with EM sites; ensure alignment on outcomes with key internal partners
  • Perform analysis such as comparative analysis, rationalization analysis, sourcing decisions and cost optimization identification analysis; Perform market intelligence analysis for current and emerging market movement trends; Develop and execute sourcing strategy
  • Develop and lead price and cost initiatives; support RFQs for medium to high complexity sourcing decisions; Conduct negotiations with suppliers  Conduct CIP ideation sessions with suppliers
  • Develop, implement and lead proactive change and risk management processes for suppliers
  • Interface directly with CEO’s and other supplier leadership to assure alignment of J&J’s objectives are met, including quality, reliability, innovation and cost; Conduct additional negotiations, if required
  • Deliver on financial, service, reliability, quality, innovation, and growth commitments
  • Conduct Top-to-Top meetings with suppliers that include holistic supplier performance management and review
  • Identify, develop and direct the implementation of business goals and strategies, based on deep subject matter expertise and an informal understanding of industry/market dynamics
  • Escalate issues that may impact the Global Supply Chain organization
  • Build and maintain relationships throughout J&J that results in dynamic interactive dialogue on a broad range of perspectives and information critical to the development of optimal approaches and solutions



Qualifications
  • 5+ years of related experience required
  • Education – CPSM, CSCP, CPIM, PMP, or other certification or relevant experience preferred
  • Broad-based understanding of business operations and practices (planning and operations experience) and core Procurement areas of focus (Supplier Management experience required)
  • Industry experience within biologics, vaccines and/or sterile manufacturing supply chain operations id preferred
  • Strong level of proficiency with core Manufacturing and Procurement skills (e.g., Supply market analysis, LEAN Manufacturing, Contracting, etc.)
  • Strong level of credibility with internal customers, and with the supplier community
  • Strong influencing skills with ability to see issues from multiple viewpoints and understand differing needs of stakeholders (e.g., businesses, Procurement LT, Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain); has "presence"
  • Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to respond to changes in the external environment, while ensuring the organization is able to effectively and efficiently move through transitions
  • Strong leadership, communication, influencing and collaboration skills are required
  • Able to prioritize requests, and propose effective cost/customer service alternatives when necessary  
  • Ability to show judgment in developing new approaches and resolving issues
