 Janssen, a company of Johnson & Johnson is now looking for a new colleague to join our team as External Affairs & Market Access Manager role:

Role Overview
The External Affairs & Market Access Manager is responsible for support of patient access to the products of Janssen Pharmaceuticals and secures the best possible treatment for patients through: 
  • Ensuring optimized market access of new and existing products, including creating and implementing relevant pricing strategies for focus brands.
  • Supporting healthcare policy decisions, resource allocation and budget results and country level at non-brand specific level, including driving disease and treatment awareness in collaboration with external stakeholders.
The External Affairs & Market Access Manager has the following areas of responsibility:
  • Is be responsible for early access processes towards funding stakeholders in the country.
  • Leads market access for new and existing (disease area) area focus brands:
    • Develops and execute optimal market access strategy for focus brands, in alignment with the overall brand strategy and in collaboration with cross functional teams.
    • Develops strong and differentiated value stories for focus brands, tailored to country specific needs.
    • Collects local market data on patient treatment pathways, health outcomes, cost data and other data supporting market access, market maintenance and product differentiation.
    • Leads pricing and internal price approval for new brands.
    • Lead the preparation of Price & Reimbursement submissions with close collaboration with Medical Affairs, HE specialist, Brand Manager and Pricing/tender specialist.
    • Engages with external stakeholders to present and/or support development of value documentation for focus brands.
  • Participates in political, health care or health economics networks and drives and coordinates activities and contacts with key public affairs stakeholders at a regional and local level:
    • Develops deep insights and identifying individual needs, drivers, barriers.
    • Develops stakeholder mapping of customers.
    • Interacts with customers with specialist knowledge within the therapeutic areas.
    • Having media/PR agencies contacts, drives public awareness for early access. 
    • Fulfills active role in the industry associations.


Qualifications and experience of the successful candidate:

  • Acquired University degree (preferably in Lifesciences/Pharmacology/Biomedical etc.)
  • Fluent level of English (both written and spoken), native level of Lithuanian
  • Demonstrable success in a related role (Market Access or External Affairs), having taken projects from concept through to delivery
  • Extensive and up to date knowledge of country Healthcare environment, regulations, policies and procedures at national level and the associated market (patient) access challenges
  • Clear track record of working with customers and stakeholders internally and externally at all levels to influence and implement market access strategies and plans
  • Strong customer facing experience with payers within the market
  • Experience of managing national submissions with a successful outcome
  • Strong understanding of the link between clinical data and health economics
  • Strong presentation skills, able to effectively communicate, personalize the message
  • Analytical skills to identify problems and solutions, and planning skills ensuring deadlines are met
