DePuy Synthes established its manufacturing facility in Cork in 1997 where it manufactures orthopaedic knees and hips, from this date the company has expanded to include a Global Supply Chain Operation in 2002 and more recently in 2008 DePuy established an Innovation Centre which was created to develop next generation orthopaedic products and processes for a global market. In 2014, DePuy Synthes in Cork won the Shingo prize for Operational Excellence.
The Senior Business Systems Analyst is a function of the Supply Chain Data Management Team (SCDM) supporting the DePuy Synthes companies. Our team supports the supply chain by ensuring the correct processes and tools are in place allowing the creation and maintenance of reliable data. Our team also engages with cross-functional teams to promote accurate business integration.
Candidates applying for the Senior Business Systems Analyst role should be inquisitive, enjoy problem solving, be technically savvy and be willing to challenge the status quo. Ideally, they should understand the end to end supply chain so they can relate to the data and tasks that support our business. They should have strong interpersonal skills, enjoy working on projects and help resolve issues.
Depending on project and business requirements travel of 30% is anticipated. Travel could occasionally increase to meet project needs. This is a permanent role.
•Support global & regional projects as an SCDM subject matter expert or on occasion as project lead.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to map out business processes and ensure that data ownership and related procedures are in place to manage data creation and maintenance.
•Connect with colleagues to help uncover and resolve data issues.
•Help to build and ensure Data Dictionaries are maintained for our respective ERP systems.
•Plan, launch and promote the SCDM (Supply Chain Data Maintenance) Framework, which includes the Department Data Lead networks within our business.
•Encourage the sharing of knowledge across the supply chain with the goal to make processes clearer, more efficient and controlled.
•Work with counterparts in IT and other functions to update or create and test changes that are required.
•Partner with colleagues to help triage data issues so they can get resolved quickly by the appropriate teams.
•Create buy in for change for data projects with senior management, develop training materials and deliver training as needed across multiple functional areas.
•Participate in the development of operational systems applications and reports.
•Challenge the status quo, encourage improvements in how we manage our data. People, tools and processes.
•Possess the ability to translate broad concepts into action plans.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
•Bachelors level education, ideally in Supply Chain or Business Systems
•Good understanding of ERP and PLM systems
•Experience with SAP systems is desirable
•Key User experience or project roll out experience involving EPR/PLM project implementation
•Good understanding of how the Supply Chain works end to end
•Data Analytics involving Quality systems experience is a plus
•5 – 10 years of relevant experience within master data or similar supply chain area
•Collaborative, strong team player with developed networking skills
•Good communicator with ability to train others and develop processes
•Independent, structured, determined, reliable and quality orientated
•Experience in regulated business environments a plus
•Knowledge of Lean/Continuous improvement practices a plus
•Business fluency in English is required; knowledge of other languages is beneficial.
