North Cluster Business Change Manager Fleet
Reports to: EMEA Fleet Manager
Location: J&J UK offices; preferably in Pinewood or High Wycombe office

Position Summary:
Acting as the key contact across the UK, Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands, you will be strategically responsible for the management and final accountability for fleet across the North-West region of Europe.

Main duties and responsibilities:
Role purpose:
  • Manage J&J fleets in the UK, Belgium and the Netherlands from a strategic perspective, taking final accountability for fleet within these countries
  • Act as main contact for leadership in the mentioned countries on fleet related topics, facilitating key stakeholder engagement and alignment
  • Complete deployment of fleet reorganization project in Germany (other countries TBC) and manage the fleet in Germany (and other countries) post deployment
  • Support the development of a long-term vision and strategy for the fleet category
  • Shape and implement a short and mid-term strategy for fleet management based on business needs within the north cluster and aligned with the global fleet strategy
  • Manage driver satisfaction through a continuous improvement cycle
  • Ensure tight cost control and support delivery of savings
  • Simplify and harmonize fleet management processes
  • Drive fleet policy development in alignment with EMEA and global directives and ensure compliance with fleet and transport regulations
In scope:
  • J&J UK cross-sector company car fleet (about 1,200 cars) incl. grey fleet, i.e. employees choosing a cash allowance (about 1,100)
  • Janssen Ireland company car fleet (about 40 cars)
  • J&J Belgium cross sector company car fleet (about 1,800 cars)
  • J&J Netherlands cross-sector company car fleet (about 450 cars)
  • J&J Germany cross-sector company car fleet (1,300 cars)
Key performance metrics
  • Measurable improvement in driver satisfaction
  • Delivery of fleet savings, i.e. implemented and validated
  • Fleet service delivery innovations (processes, tools, etc.)
  • Process simplification and harmonization across sectors and countries
  • Successful delivery of Fleet reorganization projects in Germany and other countries
Travel ratio:
Policy and strategy:
  • Work with Total Rewards to make sure country fleet policies comply with J&J EMEA and global fleet policies
  • Represent country Fleet Management Teams at country Fleet Governance Board meetings
  • Inform decision making of country Fleet Governance Board, e.g. on policy changes
  • Prepare, facilitate and follow-up on country Fleet Governance Board meetings
Stakeholder management:
  • Grow relationships with country leadership (Managing Directors, Finance Directors, HR Directors, HR Services Director, etc.) to understand and manage their expectations
  • Assure close connection with J&J driver force through adequate measures, e.g. driver surveys or occasional face to face driver interviews
Planning and coordination:
  • Implement and manage effective tools and methodologies to standardize fleet management
  • Define and develop steering indicators of successful fleet management
  • Monitor operational fleet management provided by fleet management companies
  • Identify and pro-actively manage/mitigate risks to deliver flawless customer experience
  • Manage execution of tasks as defined in the fleet management plan to achieve fleet management goals and ensure timely completion of all fleet management related takes
  • Oversee and coordinate all country fleet management activities
  • Oversee and coordinate the implementation of EMEA and country fleet policies
  • Keep up to date with market trends and changes in relevant legislation and taxation
  • Use fleet intelligence to assess fleet performance (TCO, driver satisfaction, etc.)
  • Track and prove savings delivery against business plan together with Category Manager and Finance partner to country Fleet Management Teams
Continuous improvement:
  • Work with fleet management provider, in alignment with Category Manager, to further improve processes and service delivery within countries of responsibility
  • Share fleet best practice and intelligence with other cluster/country Fleet Managers to enable cross-country learning and improvement
  • Identify and manage risks and, if required, escalate to EMEA Fleet Manager and/or country Fleet Governance Board in a timely fashion
  • Solicit guidance and expertise on key matters from EMEA Fleet Manager and Global Category Fleet Director to assure best possible service to J&J operating companies
Communications and people management:
  • Lead country Fleet Management Teams without line authority
  • Exemplify J&J leadership imperatives and CREDO-based decision making
  • Maintain adequate communications with country leadership beyond regular meetings.
  • Follow-up communication plan towards J&J fleet drivers (newsletter, apps, etc.)

Education Requirements:
  • Required minimum education is Bachelor or equivalent
  • Preferred minimum education is MBA or equivalent

  • Highly skilled in implementation and administration of large projects and associated change management
