The AP Pharm Commercial Support Director will provide leadership to the Pharm Regional COE Commercial Support team, providing FP&A services covering areas such as planning & forecasting, regional consolidation, local and regional Reporting and advanced analytics to both the local and Regional Business Unit Finance (BUF) teams. The role whilst reporting directly to the BSCOE lead will also have a strong link back to the BUF Regional team and the Pharm CFO and will be a key member of the Pharm Regional Finance Leadership team.

 

The Lead will manage KPIs measuring effectiveness of the Pharm AP COE are delivered, in collaboration with the BUF. The Lead will play an impactful role at all stages of the standardization effort. The Lead must demonstrate the Leadership Imperatives of Connect, Shape, and Deliver regarding resolving issues raised by the BUF and Regional Business Partners as they will be the main point of contact for Commercial Support related issues.  

 

The Lead will create an environment where talent development is a top priority while effectively managing the Commercial Support team to ensure operational and customer related performance targets are consistently met. The Lead’s core understanding of the FP&A process and their ability to deliver results by inspiring the team will be vital to the success in their role as a Commercial Support Director.  

 
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • General Leadership Skills
    • Strong business acumen and FP&A skills
    • Coaching; to ensure the strongest support to the team in the most agile & inspiring way
    • Demonstrate strong influencing and leadership skills with senior stakeholders to further develop all areas of FP&A.
    • Drive change management
    • Strong communication and ability to frame complex problems with ease
 
  • Traditional FP&A
    • Delivering business plan and quarterly update support and analysis
    • Provide all key regional reports to the Regional & Local BUF team (NTS, P&Ls, Headcount, Cash Flow etc).
    • Forecast & latest thinking cycles
    • Standard and ad-hoc analytics execution
    • Manage the regional calendar in line with global process improvements (52 weeks etc)
    • Accountable for all KPIs measuring effectiveness of Pharm AP COE
 
  • Standardization / Capability Build
    • Shape and enhance Planning & Update process, standard reporting & performance capability
    • Drive global standards / tools adoption
    • Champion continuous process improvements and best practice sharing across COE teams
    • Driving utilization of TM1 & other FP&A tools
 
  • Develop Finance Talent
    • Build a dynamic high energy culture
    • Partner with other Finance leaders to grow diverse leadership, talent and finance capability pipelines across the COEs
    • Identify, attract, develop and retain diverse talent
 
  • Other Duties
    • Supports ad-hoc requests / projects
    • Supports continuous improvement activities
    • Assists with training fellow team members
    • Participates in training to increase knowledge & skill
    • Perform performance management activities
    • Ensure policies and procedures are followed
    • Travelling may be required for this role


Qualifications
  • A minimum Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably with a major in Accounting or Finance
  • Financial certification in ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CMA or other equivalent 
  • More than 12 years of finance, accounting or related business experience and more than 5 years people management experience
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office, Finance and Accounting
  • Multi-country and multi-sector experience preferred
  • Experience in leading a large finance organization in varied businesses conditions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to confidently present complex information to all levels of the organization
  • Strong collaboration, people management & change management skills
  • Strong influencer, independent thinking, and strong planning / prioritization are critical to success
  • Passion for people development and talent management
