The Purpose of the EMEA Shopper Marketing team is to lead that agenda - We are building a leading shopper ENGINE for the region that can fuel our destination to become a World Class Sales Organization, enabling excellent execution of our portfolio of brand and Marketing plans. In simple terms, our role is to enable the markets to convert more shoppers to purchase by ensuring our plans are relevant, attractive and available.
 
The Shopper Marketing Manager sits within the Regional Sales Organisation and reporting to the Shopper Marketing Function. The role reports into the Director of Shopper Strategy and Baby, and will focus responsibility largely on developing and rolling out strategic enabling tools for the region that allow first class execution in market supporting business shopper strategy. They are part of wider regional shopper team whose responsibility it is to lead capability around the 5-step shopper marketing process for the region. Their overall responsibility is to:
 
  • Lead the roll out and evolution of “Synergy” in conjunction with supply chain and lead cluster shopper teams– an automated end to end workflow system tool for all trade and consumer promotions across the region – designed to bring more effective methods of managing excellence in this space
  • Drive more effective systems of managing print and production of point of sale material -  Work closely with procurement and integrator agency to drive roll out of this model in the region.  
  • Drive the agenda for scaling and harmonising shopper execution materials via a system of shopper menu’s in the clusters  
  • Support the role out and embedding of category management practise across the clusters 
 
The Shopper Marketing Manager’s role involves:
 
  • Working in close partnership with the regional shopper team and cluster shopper leaders on priority projects to ensure scaled best practise in execution is achieved for the region on business priorities.
  • Working and leading cross functional and matrix teams to deliver end to end business solutions that will improve execution capability in line with shopper strategy. Be the commanding voice of shopper to ensure all cross functional teams line up to deliver for end to end solutions.
  • Passionately advocating the compliance to our 5-step shopper marketing process, and established ways of working, from insight to strategy to action
  • Leading, co-ordinating and aligning scopes of work, deliverables, briefs, tool or system development and tool execution assessment. Rigorously pushing for constant improvement focus.
  • Ensure the tool plans are executable and executed in market.  Deploy tools in the appropriate manner to the Clusters to ensure they inspire and unlock great execution.
  • Work with shopper agencies or suppliers, and cluster lead markets to develop tool deliverables.
  • Collaborate with local shopper experts and customer teams to ensure the customer and shopper is always at the heart of our plans and ensure we are always delivering to the needs of the front line/ (market & customer/shopper)  

Qualifications
Experience Required:
  • Experience in category strategy development, and building of retailer stories and growth strategies based on insight
  • Experience in in-store communications and shopper/retail marketing
  • Successful project management skills
  • Strong stakeholder management including cross functional teams: customer teams, brand teams, insights teams, retailer contacts and external agencies
  • Customer experience and category development preferred.
  • Experience working with cross functional teams
  • Commerciality, Innovation, Creativity, Project Management and a passion and flair for retail and shopper execution
