The Purpose of the EMEA Shopper Marketing team is to lead that agenda - We are building a leading shopper ENGINE for the region that can fuel our destination to become a World Class Sales Organization, enabling excellent execution of our portfolio of brand and Marketing plans. In simple terms, our role is to enable the markets to convert more shoppers to purchase by ensuring our plans are relevant, attractive and available.
The Shopper Marketing Manager sits within the Regional Sales Organisation and reporting to the Shopper Marketing Function. The role reports into the Director of Shopper Strategy and Baby, and will focus responsibility largely on landing the shopper plan within the baby franchise initially. They are also part of wider regional shopper team whose responsibility it is to lead capability around the 5-step shopper marketing process for the region. Their overall responsibility is to:
  • Ensure scaled execution of the Baby Mega Restage shopper toolkits (look of success) across the region
  • Build and deliver clear, compelling shopper plans (toolkits for look of success) for Baby for the region going forward based on future priorities
  • Assess and harness best practise execution on baby across the clusters and share this through clear governance routines.
The Shopper Marketing Manager’s role involves:
  • Working in close partnership with the Global Franchise Organisation via the Regional Franchise Leadership Team - shaping and delivering EMEA Franchise shopper toolboxes and enabling tools to time behind the agreed regional big priorities. Toolboxes will cover category growth stories, look of success for retail fundamentals, and shopper activation.
  • Passionately advocating the compliance to our 5-step shopper marketing process, and established ways of working, from insight to strategy to action
  • Leading, co-ordinating and aligning scopes of work, deliverables, briefs, toolbox development and toolbox & activation assessments.
  • Endure the toolbox plans are executable and executed in market.  Deploy toolboxes in the appropriate manner to in RFO and Clusters to ensure they inspire and unlock great execution.
  • Work with shopper agencies, and cluster lead markets to develop toolbox deliverables.
  • Lead the Shopper Learning Plan program across the region in close collaboration with local markets, GSI and Regional Franchise to feed toolbox development in line with our process.
  • Collaborate with local shopper experts and customer teams to ensure the customer and shopper is always at the heart of our plans and ensure we are always delivering to the needs of the front line/(market & customer/shopper)
  • Deliver and maintain a body of commercially compelling shopper “case studies” across the region to harness best practise and focus on execution
  • Drive active use of shopper and look of success (TPS) metrics to drive sales and continuously improve shopper plans – rate of sale, distribution, share of space, penetration, incidence and frequency/average weight of purchase. 

Experience Required:
  • Experience in category strategy development, and building of retailer stories and growth strategies based on insight
  • Experience in in-store communications and shopper/retail marketing
  • Strong stakeholder management including cross functional teams: customer teams, brand teams, insights teams, retailer contacts and external agencies
  • Customer experience and category development preferred.
  • Experience working with Medical Affairs (PAGB), and Regulatory, HCPs teams preferred
  • Commerciality, Innovation, Creativity, Project Management and a passion and flair for retail and shopper execution
