Manages and directs the customer education and support department to meet and where possible, exceed sales support and customer service expectations of both internal and external customers. Performs direct supervision of the customer relations representatives. Manages and develops staff by training, defining and assigning responsibilities. Plans, organizes, directs, and controls the quality of the activities performed in the unit. Handles administrative supervisory responsibilities. Creates, revises, and ensures compliance to procedures and problem resolution reports. Reviews and preserves departmental controls, policies and procedures by applying broad business and technical knowledge. Improves and assesses departmental policies. Providing individual coaching, rendering corrective training, developing team initiatives, formulating departmental training programs. Participates in projects in conjunction with department and company goals. Assists manager in developing and implementing goals to establish goals in customer education and support. Makes recommendations on hires, terminations, appraisal and salary treatment. Monitors performance; gives ongoing performance feedback and conducts effective performance appraisals.
