Within Commercial Excellence we provide best in class support to both internal stakeholders and external customers, this role manages the team responsible for delivering all aspects of the Pricing function from making the initial price offers, to implementing the accepted Pricing, and monitoring and resolving any price related quesries.
Key areas of responsibility:
As Team Manager:
Represent the Contracting Team at Franchise meetings and FPC/CPC Forums
Ensure full compliance of Pricing Cycle, from Request instigation through to completion and issuing of Customer Price Reports
Implement the GTM Pricing Strategy within all Price Offers to customers ensuring pricing models are aligned to commercial frameworks
Manage and develop the Pricing/Price Query Team
Train new starts and other business functions (sales, marketing and commercial) with Pricing Principles
Take lead role on all Pricing/Price Query issues when Group Manager is offsite or unavailable
Create, and adopt SOPs for the each stage of the Pricing Cycle which should be developed in conjunction with the Group Manager and strive for Pricing Excellence
Support EMEA Pricing Team as required
Be the Approver for New Product system price implementation
Be the Approver for EPIC Pricing changes
Support the Contract Managers in ensuring all Price related Reporting/MI is circulated as required
Support the Contract Managers in ensuring all Price Offers are communicated and in line with SOP’s
Remit includes Pricing for Tenders, Pricing Agreements, Proposals, Addendums & producing one-off Quotes as required
As Pricing Specialist:
Manage all workflows through the Pricing Cycle ensuring completeness and accuracy
Manage the Expiring Discounts pricing process to ensure no expire in error
Maintain up-to-date List Price information on full Product Portfolio
Amend System Price setups for List Prices changes, product substitutes or other changes
If required by the Price Compliance Manager amend system discount for Contract Management
Ensure all SOX compliance responsibilities are met when offering a Price
Ensure all Pricing is Authorised and Approved prior to issuing
Resolve pricing queries to agreed timelines to ensure customer satisfaction
Process credits where required to resolve pricing queries
Ensure any required remedial action is completed following price queries
Provide pricing intelligence reports to key stakeholders on a monthly basis
Produce detailed Customer Price Reports for Trust’s and internal customers following any changes or as requests by stakeholders
Co-ordinate & Produce Annual Pricing catalogues as required
Ensure all Nexus Catalogues for Supplier/Hub or Trust managed arrangements are delivered (PDT)
Liaise with Price Data Team to ensure all EPICs and workflows are completed
Communicate and build relationships with internal/external customers
Strong relationships to be formed with Commercial, Product/Marketing and Sales teams
Liaise as required with other departments such as Regulatory, Legal and Finance
Be a part of the wider Commercial Excellence Department
Work with other Team Mangers within the Contracting function particularly the Tender Manager and Contracts Manager
Maintain strong Customer relationships including any 3rd Party representatives
Maintain strong working relationships with the Price Data Team
Maintain strong working relationships with the EMEA Contracting Team
Maintain strong working relationships with the GTM Team
Other Job Requirements:
Office based role (Leeds One)
Manage a Team of 2-4 additional FTE’s
Occasional travel to other JNJ office locations including overnight stay is required
Travel to customers including overnight stay is also required (once a month)
As appropriate the individuals will need to provide cover across the wider Medical Devices
Must be able to work flexibly as required to meet business needs and changes in circumstances
Skills and competencies required:
Good understanding of commercial and pricing strategies
Competent in all aspects of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access etc) particularly Excel
High attention to detail and numeric
Excellent communication skills as daily communication with customers, directors, sales force and other line managers – through multiple medias.
Ability to prioritise work on a daily basis.
Education & Experience Required:
Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant business orientated subject
Experience using JDE
Good working knowledge of CM
Knowledge of EU Public Procurement Legislation is beneficial
