Inventory Manager

Reporting to the Director Marketing & BD / PMO Lead, the purpose of this role is to improve account profitability through creating and implementing inventory efficient strategies for focus product platforms and proactively managing inventory resources in field
  • Create annual product platform strategies (Joints, Spine & Trauma) to improve inventory effectiveness and efficiency, reducing SLOB and over consigned inventory
  • Target led inventory reduction in SLOB exposure at low profitability / high inventory volume accounts
  • Ensure major new consignment deployments for associated product platform are inventory efficient, with ongoing follow up
  • Minimise expired inventory replacement costs
  • Drive on time brand rationalisations in line with CH product portfolio strategy, liasing with EMEA and local marketing
  • Devise New Product Introduction Strategies for Inventory and Instruments

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Using outputs of GTM, detailed account level analysis, and hospital theatre staff liaison drive significant reductions in slow moving consignment inventories
  • Utilise specific BU product knowledge and regional insight to drive annual target for inventory reduction
  • Minimise expired inventory write off exposure
  • Ensure on time hospital activation of newly consigned inventories
  • Ensure timely removal of lost business / rationalization inventories
  • Assist in driving improvement to hospitals inventory storage, reordering procedures (LEAN, e-sims)
  • Take ownership for Set definition by platform
  • Own all Orthokit content and sign off any material changes
  • Sign off on all additional consignment and instrument placement over set thresholds for each product area
  • Collaboration within Swiss Commex-, Supply Planning-, Sales- Teams
  • Foster further internal and external relationships

  • Language Skills: German & English, any other language is a plus
  • Strong business acumen and confident approach to meeting objectives
  • Customer focused, managing customers and internal stakeholders expectations
  • Attention to detail
  • Communication and presentation skills, communicating daily with customers, sales force and line managers
  • Specific Business/ Sector/ Product knowledge is a big advantage
  • Experience in working with Sales Teams and/ or Customer facing role
  • Project Management Skills
  • Advanced knowledge of MS-Office. Other IT systems knowledge helpful
  • Team Player
Zuchwil based role – with national travel required
Must be able to work flexibly as required to meet business needs and changes in circumstances.
