1. Brand & Trade Amplification

  • Develop, lead and deploy exceptional localized Brand Amplification plans based on planned NPI roll-outs, Cluster campaign strategies and local business initiatives
  • Own local Brand Activity Overview and accountability for prioritizing execution of the overall brand plans in consumer, trade and shopper facing activities
  • Implement and adapt brand strategies through Cluster and Global Franchise across the portfolio to ensure it fits with local market dynamics and consumer insights
  • Build vibrant and powerful amplification plans to execute the strategy in local market, aligning cross functional support for delivery in market
  • Alignment and prioritization of business plan with channel and customer teams for strong activation in store (trade windows, lead times, KAM agreements)
  • Monitor market and category dynamics to develop and/or change amplification plans to deliver winning campaigns
  • Plan promotional programs to maximize business results, developing integrated communication plans and engaging local agencies for country execution as required.
  • Accountability for overall country activation plans.   

2. People Management responsibilities:

  • Attract, motivate and develop the Brand Activation team within the organisation. Provide on-going coaching, feedback and support to the Brand Activation team. For each direct report ensure; 100% completion of the Five Conversations
  • Champion the BAM team with key stakeholders in the organisation, through the Commercial LT, the NE marketing organisation, and key support stakeholders – Regulatory, Medical, HR, Supply Chain, and Finance.
  • Collaboration, prioritization, resource allocation with key stakeholders to drive aligned brand amplification plans with excellent execution at the country level.
  • Accountability for overall country activation plan.   
  • Share best practice, provide actionable feedback on initiative performance, resolve misalignment on behalf of the local BAM team

3. Stakeholder collaboration and commercial engagement

  • Support implementation of the brand plans at the key account level through NPI presentations, training material and central campaigns (NPI, as well as other local activation initiatives).
  • Align on customer targets and give input on tracking measures, in line with the overall Activation Plan
  • Share best practice, provide actionable feedback on initiative performance, resolve misalignment on behalf of the local BAM team
  • Prioritize and align presentation of customer specific consumer insights and brand activation plans
  • Manage key stakeholder interactions to resolve misalignments, resourcing requirements and prioritization of initiatives. 

4. High quality local adoption for consumer facing marketing material

  • Support BAM team in adoption & approval of local campaign material and production incl. translation and ensuring timely regulatory approvals
  • Digital: Manage agency relationship and budget. Identify overall annual scope and included digital initiatives across brand portfolio.  Support BAM team in adoption & approval of local site and production incl. translation and ensuring regulatory approval, also applicable for other digital or social media marketing activities.
  • PR: Manage agency relationship and budget. Identify overall annual scope and included PR initiatives across brand portfolio.  Support BAM team to execute and evaluate PR activity
  • Sampling/WOM: Manage agency relationship and budget. Identify overall annual scope and included initiatives across brand portfolio Support BAM team to Execute and evaluate sampling or WOM activity

5.Monitor the Market / Insights

  • Monitor data, action relevant insights with the Commercial and Hub Teams respectively.
  • Monitor and evaluate campaign performance towards consumers and customers on key activities including promotional evaluation (based on KAM ROPS input).
  • Provide Cluster teams with competitive information & lead local challenges.
  • Provide remedial action based on share performance to course correct local activation plans where necessary.

6. Financial Performance  

  • Track performance and ROI measures
  • Accountability for prioritization and delivering the local BME budget, including course corrections where necessary.
  • Accountability for securing overall country market share, NTS and Gross Profit targets in collaboration with the Leadership Team.
  • Monitor volume forecast for NPI into S&OP Demand Planning process
  • Input to local NPI naming and regulatory strategy

  • University degree in Business, Marketing or other respective studies
  • Experience of managing and motivating a team with a demonstrable record of success
  • Experience in various commercial cycles of Trade / Brand Marketing, Sales Mgt, KAM experience
  • Relevant experience from a multi-national or regional company, preferably in FMCG or OTC
  • Knowledge of local trade structures and key deliverables for a successful trade partner
  • Skilled in MS Office, with strong analytical and communication skills
  • Team leader and team player with proven multifunctional stakeholder management/collaboration
  • Active & engaged in executional excellence
  • Well-structured, focused & setting clear priorities
  • Solid analytical thinking
