Associate Director of OTC Formulation Design

Your role : 
You are responsible for pharmaceutical expertise for marketed products and for management and development of a formulation design team in EMEA Region. 
You will lead a small team of technical specialists in supporting the currently marketed non-prescription portfolio of products in EMEA. You are the primary contact for the Supply Chain leadership and internal commercial partners to communicate on project status and progress. 

You will participate in various cross-disciplinary groups in an expert capacity.

You will in addition to this:
• Support the technical transfer teams to ensure transfer of existing products and of new products from R&D to Supply Chain.
• Participate in products remediation activities, including investigations of deviations and complaints.
• Participate in process improvement and validation, and product reformulations where necessary
• Develop and approve technical expert reports, manufacturing instructions, specifications, etc.
• Ensure that adequate documentation is available to support successful registration of projects
• Responsible for staff, management and administration.

Preferable Placement :  Helsingborg (Swe), Val de Reuil (Fra) or Maidenhead (UK).

Qualifications Required:

Education – Minimum of Bachelor degree with a major in chemistry, chemical engineering or pharmaceutics or equivalent degree. 

Work Experience:
• A minimum of 6-8 years in a pharmaceutical manufacturing or product development environment with a major emphasis on multi-ingredient solid-dose formulations. 
• Experience with non-prescription ingredients used in cough, cold & allergy preparations and analgesics is a distinct advantage. Experience with direct compression and wet-granulation technologies an advantage. 
• A demonstrated business partner and ability to bring together multi-disciplined technical staff to problem-solve issues.
• Staff leadership and staff development experience
• Demonstrated budgetary management skills 
• Project management, communication and prioritization skills
• Comprehensive understanding of quality compliance knowledge within EU and deep understanding of GxP systems
• Demonstrable experience of working with external manufacturers.

In this role you need a fluent/bilingual level of English.
