We have an excellent opportunity for a Demand Planning Cell Lead in our Northern Europe Headquarters in Maidenhead.
What you’re great at:
The demand planning cell lead is a key role within Johnson & Johnson and has the opportunity to make a real difference. You will provide day to day supervision for demand management activities of team of people responsible for generating accurate demand forecasts for a portfolio of products within Northern Europe. You will have a strong desire to incorporate macro trends into regional forecasts, as well as product discontinuations together with incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, retailer replenishment analysts, and other sources. You will play a leading role in the S&OP process to validate and interrogate the forecast, and ensure the right production decisions are made to maximize availability and profit. You will work in partnership to support development of the S&OP process and ensure flawless delivery of our products. You need to be a strong people leader with the ability to confidently interact with senior management.
As the demand planning cell lead, your typical day may include:
Providing the best estimate of category forecasts for the long-term horizon, by interpreting sales trends and known volume drivers (category strategy, market dynamics, media activity, competitor activity etc…) through wide reaching, engaging cross functional engagement. You will ensure that financial targets are met and risks and opportunities are identified. Personnel management and career development support are critical to creating strong foundations for the Demand Planning team. Travel may be required with this role within Northern Europe to enhance collaboration, approx. 10%
What you’ll own and how you’ll grow:
You will have full responsibility for a portfolio of brands across 6 different markets and team responsibilities of 2/3 staff, supporting a $850m sales organization. You will work with the Product Lifecycle manager to manage the full lifecycle of the products together with the exciting opportunity to be part of product launches. Collaboration is key within this role and you will interact with all departments in the business as well as the regional supply organization
You will be degree qualified with experience of ERP (SAP/APO/SNP) & Advanced Planning Systems is preferred. To be successful in this role you will be able to build strong collaborative relationships across various countries and teams which would mean being able to target your communication style. You will have a demonstrable track record of managing and developing teams in a complex organization. You will also have an understanding of the forecasting techniques and have an in-depth knowledge of analysis and problem-solving techniques.

• A solid background working within - and preferably leading - S&OP activity.

• The ability to engage, influence and partner with others in a matrix environment.
• The ability to challenge the status quo and evaluate processes to determine if refinements would enhance speed of results and productivity or quality &/or ability to work with Continuous Improvement tools.
Ideally you will have familiarity with relevant legislation – e.g. Import/ Export legislation, GMP, ISO
