Responsible for coordinating, integrating and translating primary, secondary, competitive and environmental insights into growth strategies for Business Unit (BU). This role serves as an internal Commercial Excellence (CE) consultant to the Business Unit.  It is a leading role in advising and counseling stakeholders in the development on the implementation of new and existing business strategies and as a result shares accountability for business unit results.
  • Provide strategic oversight and guidance for business unit strategic business plans, brand strategies, new product launch plans and long and short range forecasts
    • Utilize strategic and operation insights derived from multiple sources of customer understanding such as but not limited to Customer Loyalty Survey, Veeva data and primary/secondary information
  • Operate as a trusted advisor to BU stakeholders, utilizing strategies and operational insights, level problem solving, communication and leadership to drive organizational actions that leads to tangible growth
  • Act as the commercial excellence ‘expert’ with broad oversight of CE activities for the BU, but not limited to:
    • Set BU and CE aligned priorities with key leaders
    • Collaborate with CE department on organizing and optimizing resources against identified priorities for Strategy Team
    • Drive integrated problem solving alongside BU to ensure resources are deployed against critical business problems
    • Lead the interfacing with CE and BU on a regular basis to ensure alignment of priorities and business needs with strong collaborative and communication 
    • In collaboration with the BU - Drive resource allocation and deployment and priotiziation discussions across BU based on segmentation and other relevant analysis
  • Drive the integration of all areas of customer insights or the BU and translate to business impact across sales and marketing including
    • Market research and competitive intelligence
    • Performance monitoring/management
    • SFE optimization and segmentation/targeting strategy
    • Advanced analytics including commercial mix and ROI
  • Serve as lead to prioritize and triage strategic and operations issues with CE strategists for BU
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Lead, organize, coordinate and direct efforts of interdisciplinary and cross functional teams for making the BU successful
  • Responsible for developing strategies and tactics and updating the organization on project plans, measures and status.  Own the process, tools and metric relation to the Business Unit iniates and adherence to the processes
  • Take lead on driving business partners to build robust business cases on sound assumptions and gaining clear alignment on the outcoming measures before initiation
  • Adhere to compliance and legal regulations
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Assess BU and brand strategy effectiveness at brand and portfolio level on a regular basis
  • Coordinate strategic recommendation and feedback to BU based on CE department analysis on regular basis
  • Derived from multiple sources of customer understanding such as but not limited to Customer Loyalty Survey, data from Veeva and primary/secondary information
  • Monitor performance and action plan implementation of BU
  • Accelerate growth of BU by continuous assessment, monitoring and implementation of strategy
  • Identify areas for improvement on an ongoing basis for course
  • Align and integrate Business Unit strategy and commercial excellence strategy
  • Active member/lead of Strategic BU team         
  • Lead, organize, coordinate and direct efforts of interdisciplinary and cross functional teams for making the BU successful
  • Drive integrated problem solving alongside Business Unit to ensure resources are deployed against critical business problems
  • Communicate the company strategy to Business Unit with change management competency and expertise
  • Active member/leader of Strategic Review team
  • Act as the main point of contact for BU and CE
  • Present to the commercial BU and/or management alongside the marketing teams and/or as a CE representative
  • Bring back insights from all presentations and BU interactions to CE
  • Give presentations for MC, regional and global teams when deemed necessary
