Position Overview:

As the In-house Manager, Private Payers you will be responsible for the development of market research, private listing and lifecycle management strategies, and you will prepare formulary submissions for all private payer products in Janssen’s portfolio.

 

Your key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the private payer field team to develop and execute critical private insurance strategies and tactics
  • Identify opportunities for the development and execution of private payer education forums including logistics, vendor management and speaker preparation
  • Prepare publications and materials to support private payer strategies and events
  • Seek insights through the review of current clinical research and economic data from Janssen clinical programs as well as published literature
  • Provide strategic input into Janssen’s Real-World Evidence generation to ensure the needs and requirements of private payers are addressed
  • Provide product and market analytics supporting business partners, finance forecasts and metric development
  • Development of Private Payer Submission Dossiers including the Clinical package and Budget Impact Analyses
  • Support financial analyses related to product listing agreements
  • Collaborate with internal business partners to anticipate, develop and implement strategies addressing pricing and reimbursement issues
  • Educate and advise internal customers on market changes related to private insurance and the implications on public insurance
  • Collaborate with Manager, Health Economics and Reimbursement roles to understand the implications of changes in public policy, align on reimbursement strategy & submissions
  • Develop primary and secondary market research and data analysis, leveraging external data vendors and presentation of these findings to internal/external stakeholders
  • Participate on the New Business Development Team, Product Launch Teams, Reimbursement Teams, and cross-functional Business Integration Teams


Qualifications

  • University degree in Business or Health Sciences; Post-graduate degree or MBA is desirable
  • 5+ years' experience in Pharmaceuticals, Health Economics or Private Insurance is required
  • Experience in designing and conducting market research or RWE development is an asset
  • Experience in the development of Private Payer Submission Dossiers including the Clinical package and Budget Impact Analyses
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-developed presentation skills
  • Ability to confidently align others to the vision of the private payer strategy
  • Ability to manage complexity and prioritize activities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority
  • Demonstrated adaptability in changing environments
  • Ability to think critically, innovatively and have strong business acumen
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to partner effectively both within and outside of the organization
