The Senior Manager, Forecasting – Oncology, will be responsible for comprehensive business analytics for the Oncology Therapeutic Franchise for the US region.  Projects involve optimizing commercial drug development strategies via licensing, acquisitions and new product evaluations.  Primary responsibilities include managing and developing Forecasts and Secondary Data Analyses, as well as utilizing Primary Marketing Research Studies to drive and validate forecast assumptions. 
Forecast responsibilities include owning development of forecast models that are patient or prescription based, developing logic for multiple patient segments/stages, multiple indications and lines of therapies and cross line reductions. Primarily focus will be within Oncology, solid tumors and hematological malignancies, yet may also include other therapeutic areas. 
Forecasting includes development of assumptions with full consideration of current and future market dynamics, application of primary market research findings, secondary data analysis, analogs, and competitive intelligence, evaluating sensitivities and scenarios, creating presentations and communicating results to senior management and gaining alignment with various commercial partners (Pricing, Access, Finance, Global etc).
Secondary data analysis includes; mining and analyzing multiple data sources to deliver clear, concise customer and market insights to drive decision making.   This includes, obtaining, querying and analyzing several types of data, such as claims data, epidemiology, lab values, biomarkers, clinical procedures and prescription level data.  Also includes, leveraging syndicated reports (like Data Monitor, Evaluate Pharma, Decision Resources, various Financial Analyst Reports,) and Rx databases like IQVIA Smart Analyzer, Evalpharma, Rx databases.  Specific responsibilities include quarterly oncology pricing report and market trackers (i.e. lung cancer).
This position may also at times support Primary Market Research initiatives.  Market Research responsibilities include leading research projects that inform investment and pipeline decisions, including: uncovering customer insights across all stakeholders: HCP’s, patients, and payers, leveraging insights to develop clear and compelling recommendations to senior management and collaborating with Global and US colleagues to shape market research design and outputs.
Responsibilities involve partnering with a cross functional teams including commercial leaders to gather, understand and evaluate customer insights. 
Overall responsibilities include driving consensus and gaining alignment throughout the evaluation process, development of complete evaluations and clear articulation of such to Senior Management.
This role will report to the Director of US New Business Analytics – Oncology.
BA/BA is required, MBA preferred.
7 years’ experience with complex forecast modeling or relevant business experience is required. 
Demonstrated and proven track record building forecast models and delivering forecasts with sound logic and full consideration of market dynamics is required.  
Experience in health care (pharmaceutical or medical device) experience is required.
Proficient knowledge and ability to analyze secondary data and apply and integrate the conclusions is required.
Excellent communication and presentation skills are required. Proven ability to present evaluations to Senior Management is required.
Must be able to transition quickly and seamlessly from one project to another, often across different disease states within Oncology
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently is required. 
Demonstrated success in ambiguous, complex and fast paced environment is required.
Ability to drive consensus and solid recommendations without authority across organization is required.
Expertise working within the Oncology Therapeutic Area is preferred.
Experience with collaborating and managing in a matrix environment including global organizations and operating companies is preferred.
Expertise in working across the life-cycle, from pre-New Molecular Entity (NME) to post-launch is preferred. 
Experience and working knowledge of various (quantitative and qualitative) primary market research methodologies is a plus.
SAS experience is a plus relative to sourcing and analyzing claims data.
This position will require domestic travel <20%, including local travel.
