The Senior Manager of Sales Strategy and Operations is responsible for working with senior sales management to coordinate the strategic operations and planning process for the region. This position facilitates the deployment and implementation of the strategic plan, the business plan, and assists in the development of tactical and operational plans as needed and monitors and reports on progress.  This role assists with all senior sales management presentations, communications and liaisons with field sales.
 
This Sr. Manager oversees the overall design, development, and communication of planning activities that ensure sales competitiveness and organizational excellence.  This position:
  • Establishes priorities for planning activities that impact sales across all divisions, business units, and functions;
  • Serves as strategic liaison for key organizational initiatives between all sales & marketing functions;
  • Assesses current models of sales operations and develops appropriate new models;
  • Ensures timely and appropriate input from a wide range of stakeholders and functions including finance, market research, business development, and health economics and pricing to Business Planning process;
  • Drives the development of market focused culture through the creation of regional sales & marketing strategies.
  • Engages in Credo-based decision-making.
  • Create comprehensive communications for senior/executive management on the direction and performance of the region
  • Lead sales management business reviews in the creation and facilitation of high performing meetings through appropriate content management and facilitation of decision making.
  • Partner with cross functional teams on the creating the overall Business Planning strategic direction.
  • Assist in the coordination and integration of Sales & Marketing functions for critical strategic priorities.
  • Assist with the Strategic Planning Process
  • Assist the Vice President Sales, North America, in all management reviews.
  • Assist with the business commentary for sales updates.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive business experience which must include a cross functional business experience as well as Sales, Marketing and Strategy is required
  • A demonstrated track record of sales & marketing experience and cross functional leadership required.
  • Extensive experience in processes such as:  business planning, project management, cross functional collaboration, new product launches and business performance tracking required.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional and senior management to impact decision-making is required as well as a demonstrated track record in identifying winning consumer insights, growth opportunities, and priorities.
  • Adept at building effective relationships across internal and external partners, collaboration and experience in building strong communication flow with sales & marketing partners while bringing a sense of urgency to the critical needs of the business is required.
  • Master complexity and thrive in uncertain/ambiguous circumstances is required.
