Integrated Evidence Team Leader for Oncology/Solid Tumor (Medical Affairs leader)

 

The Integrated Evidence Team Leader (IETL, may be referred to as Medical Affairs Strategy Director in other companies) in the US Medical Affairs Oncology Department has responsibility for understanding the changing US healthcare environment and the various stakeholders relevant to the solid tumor area. IETL will lead a cross-functional integrated evidence team (IET) to identify gaps in the evidence and knowledge needed to support the franchise’s stakeholder-focused value propositions and prioritize evidence generation activities from different research groups e.g., Medical Affairs, Value & Evidence (V&E), Real World Evidence (RWE), Epidemiology. S/he will also maintain a current, strategically aligned integrated evidence generation plan (IEGP, may be referred to as Medical Affairs Strategy Plan in other companies). IETL will work collaboratively with the Solid Tumor Therapeutic Area team including Medical Directors, Scientific Communications Lead, and V&E team.

 

The IETL will:

  • Act as the key point person for the development and updates of IEGP as well as for the status of different data generation initiatives
  • Lead IET and IEGP-related sub-committee meetings
  • Partner with cross-functional team to identify gaps and opportunities for value- based research or communication of data
  • Facilitate coordination and integration of different types of evidence for assigned compounds
  • Based on new data and competitive research landscape, evolve IEGP to fill data and communication gaps
  • Work with Medical Directors, V&E team, Medical Leads, and VP, US Medical Affairs Oncology on overall strategic direction and execution of projects
  • Partner with Scientific Communications Lead to develop and update strategic publication and scientific communications plans


Qualifications

Qualifications:

     A minimum of a MD/DO/PhD/PharmD or equivalent doctorate degree

     A minimum of 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry

     Knowledge of the Oncology/Solid Tumor therapeutic area highly preferred

    Experience in developing medical affairs or R&D research strategy

    The candidate must be a highly motivated, organized, self-starter with a demonstrated track record of leadership and achievements 

    Demonstrated presentation skills, business acumen, strategic thinking, ability to work effectively in a matrix environment and lead cross functional teams       This position will be in Horsham, PA and will require up to 20% domestic and international travel
