The role of the Manager, Data Management (Oncology) will oversee the data operations of Janssen Oncology sales operations and marketing analytics. 
  • The manager will ensure succsessful integration and quality assurance of new and existing data assets. 
  • The manager will provide data management support for existing Oncology product line extensions and future product launches. 
  • Oversight of execution of processing data required for sales targeting, analytics, forecasting, incentive compensation, field reporting and other commercial functions.
 The Manager, Data Management is responsible for the management of syndicated and supplemental data sources, including IMS/SHS, Specialty Pharmacy, claims and other commercial pharmaceutical data. 
  • The manager utilizes advanced reporting and programming tools such as SQL/SAS/Tableau and other available applications in support of on-going analysis projects along with ad-hoc requests across the sales/marketing/commercial excellence organization.
  • The manager will oversee the regular execution of data quality test and report to business partners the quality of the information in a regular basis. 
  • The manager partners with Data Stewards (Sr. Managers) to manage related data assets into the company’s commercial data processing warehouse, including product performance metrics, managed care information, customer profile information for use in incentive payouts, targeting, analytics, national reporting, segmentation, and field reporting.
  • The manager will utilize Data Governance standards to oversee the necessary Standard Operation Procedures (SOP’s) to assure quality assurance and timely delivery of information.
  • The manager is also responsible for leading projects involving Data Management activities including the project timeline, budget and quality management, client relationship and will facilitate additional related data projects within the team. 
 
New product launches / Line extensions
  • Partner with brand teams to understand product key business questions and data required to answer questions.
  • Evaluate vendor offerings and provide recommendations to brand leaders to address their needs. Work with data vendors and brand analytics teams to access & analyze data sources
  • Manage new product data integregrations, ensure quality of integration. Work with downstream partners to define and then impliment data quality tests.
 Data Operations, Analytics and continuous improvements
  • Provide on-going visibility to data thru tableau dashboards, data extracts, queries
  • Provide partners visiblity to data integrity with data quality dashboards.
  • Partner with functional areas consuming data & lead data event management and communications.
  • Perform analysis utilizing all available sources of information to support insight generation.
  • Provide support in identifying and sourcing data gaps to fulfill overall data strategy.
  • Partner with Sr. Managers to coordinate business rule management and system enhancements in commercial data processing warehouse.
  • Manage data process schedules and timelines.
  • Create, plan and execute projects to improve operations
  • Coordinate communication around data issues and recognize resolutions.
  • Oversee the execution of teams working to resolve data inquiries.
 Data Governance
  • Actively participate and/or lead in Data Governance processes and cross-team meetings to promote and ensure DG understanding and adherence.
  • Notify downstream user of data events and manage impacts.
  • Oversee the necessary Standard Operation Procedures (SOP’s) to assure quality assurance and timely delivery of information.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required
  • A advanced degree in business (MBA) or Analytics is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of related business experience is required.
  • Data management operations and integration (profiling, match/merge, migration, testing, standards, documentation) are required. 
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and the ability to organize data/information into useful reporting utilizing report-writing tools required.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL required.
  • SAS programming experience preferred. 
  • Tableau experience preferred. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required. 
  • Analysis experience with pharmacetuical sales or the healthcare industry required. 
  • Experience with IQVIA subnational data (Xponent / DDD) is required. 
  • Knowledge of SHS claims data is a preferred.
  • Knowledge of Health Care Processional affiliations and management is preferred (HCOS,HCPS).
  • 10% travel
