The Senior Demand Planner works closely with the Demand Manager, Supply, Marketing, and Sales to develop Consensus Forecasts for new and existing products. You will manage the SKU shipment forecast development in order to meet brand and supply objectives, and attain MAPE & Bias targets for forecast accuracy.

Major responsibilities:

You will own the shipment forecast at SKU and brand level in the assigned Brands within his/her Franchise

Lead monthly forecasting meeting(s) and prepare supporting content

Establish collaborative relationships with Sales, Marketing, Supply Planning, Finance, Trade Customization, and Sales Strategy

Perform appropriate Statistical Analysis using shipment, consumption, and other sources of data

Help build New Product forecast models

Work closely with Marketing and Sales Strategy to devise, prepare, and establish New Product Forecasts

Assist in preparing appropriate cannibalization assumptions

Work closely with Trade Customization and Sales Strategy to prepare Special Pack/Pre-Pack forecasts, and generate appropriate cannibalization assumptions

Play support and facilitator role in the overall Demand Review Process

Provide system support around forecasting setup, maintenance, and general product hierarchy and make recommendations for improvements

Use sales and customer insights and data to inform the forecast

Help define, prepare and publish key metrics reports to others within the department and across other departments

Manage process & system improvement projects

Department Data Lead for functional and master data for Demand Planning

Participate and lead Vulnerability Management & Communication

Slow Moving & Obsolete Inventory Management Process Owner

Train & mentor Planners and cross-functional colleagues

Troubleshoot system & reporting issues

Bachelor degree in Business, Economics, Management Science, Mathematics or Statistics required, MBA is an asset

Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a supply chain or sales operations/category management, logistics or analytics function

Forecasting and demand planning experience within a dynamic consumer packaged goods organization

Advanced knowledge of MS Excel as well as Business Warehouse reporting tools (e.g. Cognos, SAP BW, SAP BI HANA)

Experience and proficiency in SAP and APO or other forecasting software

IBF, APICS and/or Six Sigma Green Belt Certification is an asset
