Build and maintain strong collaboration with internal stakeholders (Market Access, HECOR CoE, Medical Affairs, Commercial, Clinical Operations, Regulatory, etc.) and functional leads to design and implement assigned disease level and product RWE strategies, in one or more therapeutic areas, both for Regional and designed Operating Companies projects.

Lead (accountable) and implement (responsible) specific RWE projects in an “end to end” package, including appropriate, objectives - study designs options and alignment , data source options, feasibility, internal governance, ensuring operational frameworks and coordination (vendor selection if applicable, contracting and management in partnership with other functions, SOPs compliance, record activities in relevant systems,), statistical methodologies, dissemination strategies, and any other relevant aspect to ensure research excellence and ultimately, desired impact in the assigned disease and product level projects

Build and expand capabilities to acquire, maintain, and use RWD in-house. This includes: understanding and assessing available datasets and acquisition process (for open access and collaboratively-accessed data), lead the data acquisition and deployment process in coordination with relevant internal and external partners, contribute to build the framework for properly (governed) used of the data, assess, deploy, promote use and maintain analytic platforms for routine and advanced use of the data (in cooperation with internal/external partners), build, write and execute cross-functionally agreed protocols and analysis plans with those data (including data preparation and data analysis), and be a champion to multiply internal analytic capabilities and foster the use of acquired datasets.

Lead and manage the implementation of selected RWE functional excellence projects in Latin America (in particular but not exclusively, data governance [responsible], RWE generation planning [strong contributor], RWE methods and data analysis excellence [lead] and operational excellence [contributor]) coordinating or collaborating with the cross functional teams selected to be part of those projects.

Be actively involved (key contributor) in research projects using external electronic databases (electronic medical records, claims data, etc.) and/or primary data collection studies (in non-interventional designs), in collaboration with external partners and internal experts. Contribute to external capability building involving RWE Analytics providing advice and/or facilitating capability building.

Embed the strategic RWE leadership framework and use it to drive Janssen Latin America assigned RWE programs and selected RWE functional dimensions.

Establish a strategic, efficient and timely development of RWE deliverables in the area of responsibility and in accordance with the RWE Governance structure.

Effectively represent the RWE science function on complex, Regional or Global, multidisciplinary cross-functional teams and initiatives. In particular, the RWE & Analytics Manager will be a member of the Americas Methods Review Board (AMRB)

When applicable, successfully present and drive RWE strategies and research findings to internal and external audiences according to assigned responsibilities.

By articulating RWE strengths, lessons learned and methodological techniques, maintain extensive knowledge and knowledge management of the area's application through to lifecycle of the products in alignment with strategic business priorities. Contribute to the codification of RWE projects and related learnings into internal repositories (iMK and Sharepoint).

Collaborate in the implementation of external stakeholder alliances, building and maintaining a portfolio of potential partners, follow through to operationalize external alliances in alignment with internal stakeholders and strategic needs, codify lessons learned and reapply experiences in learning cycle

Contribute to monitor key performance indicators and other metrics to track success.

Manage assigned budgets to targets.

Contribute to conceptualize and implement internal and external benchmarking programs to create capabilities in RWE.

Support and back-up the Director of RWE LATAM and performs other work-related duties as assigned.

Undergraduate degree in a relevant scientific discipline required (including health backgrounds such as MD or PharmD or Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or other quantitative disciplines).

Graduate degree (Masters or Doctorate) in a relevant discipline or field such as health economics, epidemiology, public health, health services research, biostatistics, mathematics, and/or operations research.

A minimum of 3 years of relevant prior experience in the healthcare industry within a pharmaceutical (or related) company, insurer, or within a health system or research group is required.

General understanding of private and public RWE sources required.

Experience and/or intermediate to advanced expertise in RWE Methodologies (epidemiology methods: study design and analysis, data sources) and project implementation required. This includes academic training or industry or payer experience in statistics, epidemiology, and/or health economics.

Proficiency in statistical analysis (SAS, R) is required. Experience with analytic epidemiology involving, stratification, regression, propensity scores and related techniques required.

At least 1 year of experience in programming against large healthcare datasets is preferred.

Experience conducting RWE projects involving pharmaceutical products and/or with pharmacoepidemiology projects outside the pharmaceutical industry preferred.

Knowledge and experience with medical informatics tools for research and knowledge of medical terminologies (ICD, SNOMED, TUSS, etc.) preferred.

Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Spotfire) preferred.

Experience using of RWE to inform health economic analyses (cost-effectiveness and budget impact models) preferred.

Demonstrated leadership experience and accomplishment and skills to manage in cross-functional settings.

Understanding of pharmaceutical organizational processes, including experience working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders preferred.

Familiarity with health technology assessment methodologies preferred.
