Janssen EMEA Healthcare solutions is a commercial innovation & transformation team within Janssen, Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, with a vision to transform healthcare delivery by connecting, engaging and supporting patients to achieve the best patient outcomes.

 

Over the past 5 years, the solutions team has been building and piloting patient-centric, technology-enabled solutions across a number of disease areas including mental health, immunology and onco-hematology.

 
 

Role purpose

 

The Senior Healthcare Solution Lead (SHSL), develops and executes the EMEA solution strategy for immunology, aligned to, and supporting, IBVTS (EMEA Integrated Brand Value Teams) and local Operating Company business objectives/strategies.

 

Working within cross-functional teams, the SHSL leads solution strategy development, the concept creation, the design, the development and the implementation tools and materials to drive optimal launch and best solution positioning/outcomes. In addition, the SHSL is responsible for monitoring and analyzing the performance of the solution development and implementation.

 

In this role, the SHSL gathers information and develops relations with key stakeholders to

identify opportunities and risks within current plans and to ensure the solution meets unmet

customer needs and is delivered with high quality and in a compliant manner.

 
 

Main activities

  • Develops the solutions strategy ensuring alignment to business objectives/strategies.

  • Leads the Immunology team of HSL leads, attracts talent and develops the team capabilities

  • Executes the solution strategy and works in close collaboration with Operating Company Brand valueTeams to prepare and implement commercial solution activities as defined in the brand plan, working within agreed budget and resource allocation, continuously looking for synergies and sharing best practices across Operating Companies to increase effectiveness and efficiency.  Also works with the Regional Solution Team to ensure alignment with global solution development.

  • Supports the EMEA IBVT Teams in ensuring that the solution is developed in alignment with the Strategic framework and matches the criteria and guidelines of the Solution Excellence framework.

  • Identifies and prioritizes customer requirements to shape/define technology and content needs.  Partners with cross-functional team to ensure that the solution meets the defined unmet customer needs and key stakeholders realize the economic and value proposition. 

  • Co-creates to design/develop and iterate the solution that support brand positioning, as appropriate, and maximise the lifecycle value offering with a strong focus on patient centricity and connectivity.

  • Works with Legal, HCC, PVI, BQ, Procurement… partners to ensure full regional compliance.

  • Analyses information gathered to identify opportunities and risks within current plans to enable early insights and development of corrective measures.

  • Leads the development of evidence generation plan, data and market access strategies. Ensures alignment with the Key Research Questions (KRQs) of the local Integrated Evidence Team (IET).

  • Ensures the implementation of SOLEX for solution evolution and iteration through defining measurements of solution success (i.e. patient enrolment, patient satisfaction, solution outcomes etc.) in line with regulations.

  • Leads change management by gaining understanding of local practices, cultures and challenges.

  • Develops relationships with key scientific and business opinion leaders.

  • Continuous external focus to gather insights and priorities for external innovation and broader priorities of healthcare systems.  Identifies and forms new relationships with external parties.  Identifies and develops the business case for new opportunities. 

  • Champions identification and application of cutting-edge trends.

Qualifications

The role is EMEA based and will involve travel <30%, within the home country and across the EMEA region. International travel will be required.

It is anticipated that the role holder will be based in his/her current country of residence as long as easy access to travel/transportation and local hosting is available at a Janssen office.

  • A minimum of 7+ years of professional experience required. 

  • Customer-facing experience required. 

  • In-depth knowledge of EMEA healthcare industry and market including an understanding of key stakeholders, delivery care models, and therapeutic area.

  • High level planning or business planning experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree required. An advanced degree in business or life sciences is preferred.

  • A passion for technology and experience with healthcare technology strongly preferred.  Expertise in commercial/operational functions of health systems preferred. 

  • Proven ability to execute complex change management programs, motivate and mobilize teams and organizations preferred.

  • Self-motivated with a proven ability to follow through on commitments using strong time-management and organization skills and a service orientated and entrepreneurial mindset with a talent for addressing complex customer needs required. 

  • Strong leadership and communication skills are required. 

  • Excellent interpersonal and team skills are required. 

  • Experience leading small teams
  • Proven ability to effectively navigate matrix organizations and ability to work across cultures and business environments is required.

  • Prior experience managing budgets and external partners/vendors.

  • Experience presenting to senior management.
