The IConnect & Eloqua EMEA Lead is the EMEA Lead and Business Owner of Janssen EMEA CRM (iCONNECT / Veeva) & marketing automation (Eloqua) platforms.
He/she has the core objective of securing the design principles of iCONNECT & Eloqua in order to answer business needs. He/she decides in close collaboration with users on any planned launch of new and/or enhanced capabilities of the system.
As a key component in the digital acceleration team, the CRM and Eloqua Lead develops a strategic vision on how the platforms supports the overall enhanced digital ambition, linked to the i4C program (Innovate For Customers).
As such and in close partnership with IT and business leaders (Opcos and ESO), he/she is launching, maintaining and expanding iCONNECT & Eloqua functionalities, both platforms building a comprehensive system that supports the goal of competitive leadership through meaningful and seamless customer experience across all channels.
Customer Platforms Strategy (IConnect & Eloqua)
  • Establish Platforms Strategy & roadmap in line with technology evolution, digital acceleration ambition, business needs balancing short- and long-term view
  • Develop a strong knowledge of end-user’s needs, including a strategic thinking on user experience and UX-design of the platform
  • Support the development on current and future Minimum Viable Products (MVP) in the i4C program, and their impact on CRM
  • Ensure relevant level of innovation thanks to regular contacts with external vendors
Business Owner of the platform and key contact towards IT-community
  • Lead and follow-up of Design Board with Operating companies by planning and organizing regular meetings to prioritize, review and approve iCONNECT related developments.
  • Decision maker on priorities for implementation and final business sign off on ordering of development changes per release
  • Secure design principles to ensure consistency & adoption
  • Business owner on Periodic Reviews
  • Capability building: Maintain Training Master deck to ensure appropriate tools are available
Management of a team of 1-3 CRM developers and external vendors; set and track performance goals that align with CRM goals
Ensure compliance with internal SOPs and external laws
  • Key contact towards HCC, Legal and Privacy community (GDPR) and first point of contact for internal audits
  • Ensure systems compliance to rules
Lead discussions for all platform related topics
  • Expansion to other businesses as needed            
  • Alignment on Global Initiatives (Example : Prizma, Government Affairs)
  • Other regions support (LATAM ie Latin America Region)

  • Master’s degree or above in a relevant discipline.
  • Expert in field of Sales & Marketing, CRM & omnichannel.
  • Solid understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and changes in the business model.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the critical business questions and drivers of performance.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong networking skills with the ability to create and develop collaborative working relationships across different departments and countries.
  • Strong change management experience.
    Excellent written and spoken English. Fluency in additional EMEA languages would be beneficial.
  • Ability to work effectively in virtual teams in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Aware of and adherence to J&J Credo values, SOPs, Policies and Guidelines.


  • A minimum of 8-12 years business experience is required with a proven track record of leading high-profile project teams in highly matrix environments and cross functional teams.
  • In depth understanding of evolving market dynamics
  • Strong expertise on CRM and marketing automation systems and management
  • Strong first-hand experience with different roles in business and/or sales and or medical affairs, and experience in managing and improving critical business and commercial processes.
  • Knowledgeable about today market dynamics and challenges and opportunities along the core TA’s in the pharmaceutical industry
  • An experience in a digital intensive business outside pharma would be a plus
  • Strong communication skills (oral + written)
  • Strategic thinking to understand how CRM and Eloqua are part and empower overall digital and customer experience ambition
  • Ability to see & frame business impact of technical solutions

The role is Central Europe based and will involve travel (50%) within the home country and across the EMEA region.
It is anticipated that the role holder will be based in his/her current country of residence as long as easy access to travel/transportation and local hosting is available at a Janssen office.
