The Global Services Senior Payroll Compliance Manager will be responsible to provide strong leadership and influencing skills in the overall execution of the newly established Global Compliance Payroll function.
The Payroll delivery organization within Global Services provides accounting services that span across the following key controls: Master File Maintenance, Payroll Processing, Benefits, Reconciliations, Journal Entries, Payroll Cutoff, Sales Commissions, Interfaces, and User Access /SOD. These services are provided through resources deployed in approximately 78 countries across the globe. He/she will be focused on providing compliance leadership to those respective countries by ensuring all SOX 404 Program Requirements are met. At this time, the individual will be responsible in the further development of the global compliance regional team by hiring and providing strong leadership and guidance to a team of approximately 3 direct and 2 indirect reports within the following regions: North America, ASPAC, EMEA, and Latam. He/she will partner with the Regional Compliance Team, HR and HRIT Shared Services, Senior Leadership, Corporate Internal Audit (CIA), and External Auditors. Additionally, the individual will be responsible in the development of a payroll compliance taxonomy to further drive efficiencies and accountability within all payroll processes and regulations that may exist in specific countries.
•A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required with a preference in Accounting, Finance or business related field
•A minimum of 8 years experience in finance, accounting or business related experience is required
•MBA, CPA, CIA, CMA, or equivalent is preferred
•Experience managing compliance payroll activities within large multi-state companies, including responsibility for and in-depth functional knowledge of payroll is preferred.
•Prior people management experience is preferred.
•Experience processing, payroll controls/compliance, and payroll taxability and wage/hour requirements is preferred.
•Proven ability to collaborate with other departments, building relationships and gaining commitment and resources for payroll-led initiatives is preferred.
•Experience managing payroll or finance compliance programs to perform compliant and controlled processes is required.
•Experience working with internal and external auditors to oversee audit support, activities, inquires, and segregation of duty tasks and 3rd Party Vendor compliance requirements is preferred.
•A sense of urgency in solving audit inquiries and requests to ensure timely resolution and an ability to work effectively under pressure is required.
•Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact skillfully and confidently with internal stakeholders and colleagues to develop ideas, identify opportunities, influence outcomes.
•Experience with HR/Payroll applications (Workday, SAP) is preferred.
•This position is located in Tampa, FL and may require up to 20% domestic or international travel.
