POSITION AVAILABLE – Senior Statistician

 
 

Senior Statistician (Raritan, New Jersey)

Janssen Research & Development, LLC is seeking a Senior Statistician for our Raritan, New Jersey location to support the oncology department with focus on: hematologic malignancies, prostate cancer and lung cancer, cancer interception with the goal of developing products that interrupt the carcinogenic process, biomarkers that help guide targeted, individualized use of our therapies, and safe and effective identification and treatment of early changes in the tumor microenvironment. Responsibilities include: providing statistical input into the clinical development of drugs for treatment of cancer; working with clinical team in designing clinical studies, leading/ authoring the statistical analysis plan; conducting statistical analysis; and providing statistical input to the clinical study report. Provide input in the preparation of scientific presentations and manuscripts; participate in process improvement, training, standards development, and enhancement of statistical technical expertise; and liaising with other statisticians within the organization. Work with external partners, including key opinion leaders in the oncology area.

WORK SCHEDULE:  40 hrs/wk, M-F (8:00am–5:00pm). 
 
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Qualified applicants will possess a PhD degree in Statistics or a related field and 2 years of experience with statistical modeling and simulation. Qualified applicants will possess 2 years of experience with univariate and multivariate statistical methodologies, linear and non-linear mixed models, data visualization, and software skills in SAS, R, WinBUGS and SQL. Must have 1 year of experience with advanced concepts in statistical theory and methodology including survival analysis, Bayesian statistics, model selection, Markov chain Monte Carlo, and in the use of relevant computational tools. Up to 10% international and domestic travel is required.
