Contract Strategy & Pricing includes the development and delivery of Contracting Strategies (contracting options / parameters by customer segment or channel), Pricing (brand to channel strategy optimization, pricing matrices), customer analytics (preparation of customer-ready analytics and materials for the field to support customer updates and negotiations) and governance (rules and processes for approving deal exceptions). The Contract Strategy group works in close collaboration with Marketing in the design of Contracting Strategies based on input from our customers, the field sales organization, changing legislation, marketing brand strategies, new product introductions.
The intern will partner with pricing managers, contract administration, deal desk, finance and marketing to work on new and innovative contracting strategies. This work will include analyzing existing contract/pricing models to ensure effectiveness and value creation with our customers, analyzing pricing trends and incorporating insights into our annual pricing exercise and contract strategy sessions. The role will be heavily involved in data validation, mining and presentation to leadership.
This internship position is 10-12 weeks and will provide the intern with practical and valuable business experience. In this role, you will develop leadership skills, broaden their understanding of the concepts learned in school, and "get a taste of the real world" before they are fully committed to it.
Legal Authorization to work in the United States, without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status) now or in the future is required. A minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA is required. Current enrollment in an accredited College/University is required. Business, Economics, Finance and Accounting Majors are preferred. Intermediate level of knowledge of MS Excel and Word is required. Rising Seniors (May/June 2019 Grads) are preferred.
