The Audience Engagement Leader will create and direct audience engagement strategy for all syndication channels within the Global Content Lab to increase site traffic and bolster J&J’s reputation as the world’s leading health care company.


• Create and implement comprehensive channel strategy to grow referrals to and audience reach and engagement on existing and emerging social channels.

• Partner with the Editor in Chief and internal stakeholders across Johnson & Johnson to ensure timely execution of content syndication and optimization across channels.

• Manage and oversee metrics strategy, including paid social amplification, capitalizing on data and insights to drive decision-making.

• Manage direct reports and remote social media editors, including agency teams, to create best-in-class social content and drive growth across channels.

• Manage annual social budget to effectively meet departmental KPIs.

• Develop, evaluate and implement strategic audience development opportunities, including third-party content syndication partnerships.

• Manage social coverage of live events to ensure timely/comprehensive coverage.

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required.

• An advanced degree is preferred.

• A minimum of ten (10) years of communications experience is required.

• A minimum of seven (7) years of work experience in a social media role is required.

• Proven success growing traffic to a consumer-facing site by creating and implementing best-in-class syndication strategy across diverse channels is required.

• Knowledge of best-in-class social media metrics reporting is required.

• Proven success using data and insights to inform decision-making is required.

• Experience managing paid and organic social growth and implementing to drive KPIs is required.

• Social evangelist and enthusiast; expert knowledge of primary social channels and emerging technologies is required.

• Experience working at a global company in a highly matrixed environment is preferred.

• Excellent writing skills, good sense of voice and impeccable sense of judgment is required.

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once is required.

• This position will be located in either New Brunswick, NJ or New York, NY and will require up to 10% domestic and international travel.
