The Global Services Data Science Co-Op is a 20 week program that encompasses functional & professional development, as well as completion of project(s) related to strategic business initiatives. Co-Ops may also participate in organized activities, including team events, and local community service projects to understand the company culture and career opportunities.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

Reporting & Analytics

  • Provide performance intelligence and key insights to Procurement business leaders by developing and reporting quality metrics crafted to make valuable contributions and improve efficiencies
  • Drive metrics alignment and consistency across the Enterprise on critical metrics through data analysis and insights identification
  • Deliver performance reporting per Service Level Agreements and provide solutions that build repeatable value

Project Management

  • Coordinate the flow of work and information to the Shared Services through Partner management applying effective communication and partnership
  • Understand customer business needs via VOCs, analyses, and ongoing monitoring to translate needs into process and system requirements
  • Drive teamwork across the J&J Enterprise (Cross-sector and cross-region)

Process Management

  • Lead multi-functional teams in the development of standard processes and procedures for analytics that will be implemented by the shared service

Data Science Operations

  • Drive teamwork across the J&J Enterprise (Cross-sector and cross-region)
  • Lead enterprise-wide procurement activities such as spend validation, auditing, Procurement metrics improvements, and Business Planning

Other Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support ad hoc reporting requests

Qualifiche

  • Must be a matriculated student completing their Bachelor’s degree. GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • 1 year work/student organization leadership experience, or past internship / co-op in business role, preferably sourcing, supply chain, or procurement-related.
  • Relevant course work in Mathematics, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Business Intelligence, Engineering, or related field is highly preferred.
  • Mathematics, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Business Intelligence
  • Past Business, Data Analytics, or Reporting work experience, military experience, internship, or co-op preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, Qlik, and Excel is highly preferred.

Key skills include:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to communicate, present, and interact clearly and concisely across the company including the highest level of business leaders preferred. Must be proficient in the English language.
  • Working experience with ETL and Visualization tools (SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, Qlik, etc.) is required
  • Experience in internal customer service management (execution, metrics) is required.
  • Project management skills with a consistent track record including acquiring agreement on project definitions and priorities and ensuring that resources, capabilities, and processes are in place to deliver the project objectives timely is highly preferred
  • A strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, outstanding teaming, and collaboration skills is required.
  • Organization skills with the ability to prioritize in a dynamic, sophisticated, and virtual environment is required.
