Sterilmed Inc., a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is currently recruiting for a Senior Systems & Equipment Development Engineer, located in Plymouth, MN.

The Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices Companies have been working to make surgery better for more than a century. With substantial breadth and depth in surgical technologies, orthopedic and interventional solutions, we aspire to improve and enhance medical care for people worldwide. Together, we are working to shape the future of health through differentiated products and services.

We have an excellent opportunity for an Engineer that will be working directly with equipment vendors in developing new and improving existing processes. Will be required to work directly with R&D in the development of table top concepts of equipment including simple automation and vision. Knowledge of programming languages and PLCs will be advantageous.

We have a great opportunity for an Equipment Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with the design team to create complex mechanisms and lightweight assemblies. This position's primary responsibility will be to develop conceptual and detailed CAD designs, drawings, and related documentation, ensuring compliance with design specifications. Your focus will be on deriving innovative designs based on user needs and product requirements.

This Development Engineer will play a key role in expanding the capabilities and services offered by our Technical Life Cycle Management department. This position requires a fast-paced approach, involving the design, ordering, and qualification of tooling and capital equipment for the reprocessing of medical devices. This individual will work closely with Operations and R&D teams to understand design criteria and optimize quality while increasing efficiency.

At Sterilmed, we are recognized as authorities in medical device reprocessing, focusing primarily on high-complexity devices such as electrophysiology and imaging catheters. This role will involve some travel between our manufacturing, distribution, and receiving sites located in the metro-Minneapolis area.
