In the department of Discovery Chemistry, we currently have an internship position for 1 person (m/f/x):
Job description
As part of the small molecule discovery chemistry unit, the successful candidate will be embedded in one of the active drug discovery projects where she/he will participate in the synthesis, and characterization of biologically active molecules. This is a unique occasion to participate to a real-life industrial research program at a state-of-the-art facility. After an initial training provided by an experienced team member, the successful candidate will work independently in one of the chemistry labs. In addition to the lab-related activities, the successful candidate will be exposed to the interpretation of the biological data generated in the project and to the concepts of Structure Activity Relationship (SAR) and Structure Property Relationship (SPR) for compound optimization.
Your contribution
Mentored by an industry expert, you will contribute to the synthesis of and characterization of organic molecules in the context of a drug discovery project. The ultimate goal of a drug discovery project is to deliver a candidate molecule that will progress in the clinical stages to reach patients in need. In this context, you will have the chance to contribute to the improvement of patients’ lives.
