J&J Media Innovation Manager, Media Excellence – Johnson & Johnson HCS Inc.
The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Media Innovation Manager, located in Titusville, NJ or Horsham, PA.
As part of the new J&J Media Excellence team, the Janssen Media Innovation Manager is responsible to create and facilitate media innovation programs across Janssen. The Manager reports into Senior Director of Power Partnerships and Innovation.
The Media Innovation Manager supports the J&J Media Excellence Team to define and deliver “digital promotion” innovation and processes to grow the business. The leader works across a broad group of internal brand and multi-disciplinary team members who share a “digital promotional/advertising” innovation remit, our external media agency, and key digital media company partners.
This leader also serves as a core project management support who designs and maintains effective and efficient processes for the pan-Janssen Digital Governance Board (DGB), that ensures a centralized digital promotion and innovation framework across the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define Annual Innovation Strategy
- Support the defining of the annual media innovation plan, helping to define fertile areas for innovation and secure alignment to innovation priority areas across the 6 Therapeutic Areas and related brand teams across Janssen.
- Manage and Optimize the Innovation Process
- Project Identification: Leverage Media Agencies. Power Partners and other third parties to bring the external world into Janssen and build awareness of digital promotion innovation platforms/ideas. Partner closely with internal teams to ensure there is a strong innovation agenda in place that will deliver business impact.
- Project Selection: In partnership with the Power Partnership and Innovation Director, develop a new process to define which innovations are vetted or passed upon. This will ensure Janssen focuses limited resources against the highest impact opportunities.
- Project Vetting Management : Act as project manager to lead the multi-disciplinary team during the vetting process and document progress / decisions.
- Speed to Market: Optimize the “Janssen Way” of Innovation - an easily understood, centralized process brands and CAC teams can use to expedite compliant innovation.
- Measurement: Work with internal and external partners to define innovation measurement plans to ensure common definitions/metrics of success.
- Funding: Support the Power Partnerships and Innovations Director in identify internal/brand funding sources for innovation programs.
- Manage and Update Innovation Guidelines
- Partner with a cross-functional teams to identify existing media and digital guidelines that require an update, e.g., due to media publisher or platform changes, and new innovation platforms/areas that require that a new guidelines be developed. Facilitate the development and project management of the guidelines with a cross-functional team.
- Communication/Awareness
- Partner with the Janssen Communications Team to build awareness and adoption of media innovation guidelines and resources by brands and external agencies.
- Support Delivery of Media Excellence’s Remit as part of the Digital Governance Board (DGB)
- Includes support to drive Board agendas and preparing presentations and refine and evolve the vision of the Janssen Digital Governance Board, over time, as the market and business needs change.
- Capability
- Support the J&J Media Excellence CIR Marketing and Media Capability Lead on the Media Excellence Team to ensure media-inspired innovation is effectively represented in the media training curriculum.
Kualifikasi
Education:
- A Bachelor's degree is required. An MBA or equivalent degree is preferred.
Experience and Skills:
- A minimum of five years of professional business experience required, including experience at a media planning or buying agency, a media publisher, or as marketer who has experience in HCP and Consumer media.
- Pharmaceutical / Healthcare experience and working knowledge of regulatory environment and what challenges that environment poses to innovating in the media space is preferred.
- Continuous curiosity and passion to learn about the latest digital trends. Experience in the execution of digital marketing across multiple paid media channels, such as search, streaming, social media, banners, and EHR is required.
- Strong return on investment focused business acumen and process optimization mentality, strong analytical and change management skills.
- Committed self-starter and accountable individual, who takes initiative in implementing goals, meeting deadlines, making decisions, recommending improvements, and holding self and team members accountable to deliver goals and objectives.
- Ability to establish effective relationships, motivate department and project team members, and influence across teams without direct accountability is essential.
- Strong project management skills with proven ability to lead a complex project with multiple team members from inception to completion; highly organized and detail oriented.
- Critical thinking with the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative and differentiated solutions, conclusions, and creative outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Other:
- Travel up to 10% domestically is required, including regular meetings in NYC with media agencies and key third-party partners.
- The anticipated base salary range for the position is $97,000 to $167,000.
