Are you a highly motivated and results-oriented scientist with a deep understanding of downstream processes in Large Molecule manufacturing? Do you thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment where you can contribute to the development of innovative therapies that improve patients' lives? If so, we invite you to join our team!
The MSAT Lab operates within the Large Molecule Drug Substance (LM DS) platform, which is a segment of the global MSAT organization.
As we work to enhance MSAT capabilities to fully own our current and future commercial products, we are establishing a dedicated MSAT LM DS Lab specializing in Large Molecules (mAbs, complex glycoproteins, bi- & tri-specifics). This lab will house small-scale equipment including 2-10 L bioreactors (fed-batch and continuous perfusion), downstream processing and process analytical lab equipment.
The MSAT Lab will support Life Cycle Management of commercial products and Secondary Technology Transfers. Our lab will conduct satellite runs in Leiden and for EU & Row address complex investigations, process improvements, and serve as a non-routine sample hub.
You will be a key contributor to our team, playing a vital role in complex investigations and enhancing the robustness and reliability of downstream processes for large molecules in our global commercial portfolio. You will work independently, while receiving guidance and support from the Principal Scientist, to execute experiments, analyze data, and contribute to the advancement of key projects.
If you are passionate about combining science with business applications and improving patient outcomes, we invite you to apply!
Key Responsibilities:
- Downstream Process Investigations & Optimization:
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments related to downstream processes, to address complex investigations, optimize step yields and increase robustness and reliability of our LM products.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of robust and scalable downstream processes (reduced scale models).
- Troubleshoot process challenges and identify potential improvements.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze experimental data independently and prepare clear and concise reports.
- Effectively communicate results to colleagues and stakeholders.
- Technical Expertise & Innovation:
- Stay abreast of the latest advances and technologies in downstream process development.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of technical solutions to address manufacturing challenges.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work collaboratively with other members of the MSAT team (both local and global), sharing knowledge and expertise.
- Effectively communicate with colleagues and stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates on project progress.
