We have multiple teams across MedTech Surgery, that are searching for the best talent for their Electrical Engineering Internship positions, based in Santa Clara, CA.
You will be responsible for:
- Assist with design and prototype activities including PCB creation, connection with suppliers, testing, debugging, and documentation for electrical boards and sub-systems.
- Deliver documentation to support designs of PCAs (PCBAs) in medical devices such as technical reviews, test results, and architecture documents.
- Work hands on with senior engineers and mentors to develop reliable designs for various robotic tasks.
- Develop electronics to facilitate bring-up, debug, and test procedures of newly crafted electrical and electro-mechanical subsystems for a robotic platform.
- Test, debug, and improve circuits of the electrical system.
- Coordinate with different teams and coworkers to accomplish tasks
- Generate and present design concepts, perform design reviews to team members
- Participate in the clinical assessments of robotic devices in inanimate anatomical models
Calificaciones
Required:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited program pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or similar degree and returning to an academic program after the completion of the internship.
- Basic understanding and experience with oscilloscopes, DC power supplies, multimeters.
- Fundamental knowledge electrical engineering and circuit design theory.
- Ability to analyze problems and derive thoughtful solutions by working with your team members.
- Self-starter with a proven track record of engaging in self-directed learning and remaining productive with minimal direction.
Preferred:
- Prior prototyping design and/or firmware design.
- Experience with basic scripting in Python or Matlab.
- Experience with Altium Designer or similar electronic CAD tools.
- Prior internship or Co-op experience recommended.
- Robotics or medical device experience.
Other:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have work authorization in the United States at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
The anticipated base pay for this position for candidates in a Robotics discipline is Sophomore $31.00/hr, Junior $34.50/hr, Senior $38.00/hr, Masters $45.00/hr, PhD $59.00/hr.
The anticipated base pay for this position for candidates in other Engineering disciplines (not Robotics) is Sophomore $28.50/hr, Junior $30.00/hr, Senior $32.00/hr, Masters $38.00/hr, PhD $42.50/hr.
This position is i neligible for severance.
